My review of the Olight Baton Pro 2000 lumen EDC flashlight. It features 6 modes. Including High, Medium, Low, Turbo, Moonlight, and Strobe. It also has a lockout function and auto-off timers if you want them to auto shut off after a few minutes. The Olight Baton Pro is IPX8 rated so you can continuously submerge it over 3 feet, but it does not float! From the Olight website:
● Body's 3D small squared texture milling for a perfect grip and look
● Max 2,000 lumens with a 132-meter beam distance
● The pocket clip can easily attach to your pocket for easy access
● Three-color indication shows the remaining power levels
The Baton Pro is the newest version of our portable, rechargeable side-switch LED flashlight. Powered by a single 3500mAh 18650 customized lithium rechargeable battery and a high-efficiency LED, the Baton Pro delivers a maximum output of 2000 lumens.

What do you think of Olight? Would you buy this flashlight?

4/2023 - I did buy one and I like it a lot. I seem to be in a minority but I like the fact that there is no bright/hot spot. I like the even dispersion of the light. In fact, I like this light so much I would like to buy a spare. Where can I get one? I don't find it at the Olight website which makes me think it may have been discontinued. Bummer.

I wonder if you let the light stand on end vs on its side it would be hotter than 125°. My guess is that laying it on its side that some of the heat is disapated/absorbed by the wood table. Just curious.

Does the 5000mAh battery in the warrior make the warrior better? I don’t understand how they write their ratings thanks
@keenang4705
@keenang4705 3 года назад
Mark Shean it means the battery has more capacity. It could mean better runtime but it depends on how much juice the led draws. But I’d imagine 5000mAh lasts quite a bit longer than the 3500mAh. The warrior is also a larger flashlight so there is tradeoffs with pocketability
@jamesfair9751
@jamesfair9751 2 года назад
@@keenang4705 the 5000 mah is a 21700 cell vs the 3200 and 3500 mah 18650 cells. The 21700 cells hold more charge and allow more powerful light and longer run times. The 21700 are just the newest and strongest lithium cells available.

I own several Olights and this one is my favorite for sure. They are ALL wonderful, except the Warrior Mini has a problem with auto activation due to metal objects coming in contact with the magnetic tail-cap charge/switch at the back of the light. Making that light somewhat of a fire hazard!!! Olight has addressed this issue momentarily with a silicone boot for the tail-cap, but it is a permanent stopgap fix. (Not a real fix). This light (Baton Pro) is a fine investment. For real. *****Bro you did an awesome review here......

It's the "Mini-me" to the Seeker ll Pro light! Only difference being the button on the Baton doesn't have the mode/power level on it. Great light! My first OLight was me new Seeker ll Pro.. now l have a Pistol light w 1500lumen by OLight l could not be happier with..amazing product for China..l am 10 mins away from ordering this light.. compact, clips on your hat, very nice utilitarian light!

OMG..it's my first OLight..it is sooo nice..very classy lil light. I will stay for the most part with OLight magnetic charging lights..it's TOO convenient. I charge my PL Pro gun light and the Seeker ll Pro on it and I did order the S2R which will also charge on my mounted L dock that came with the Seeker..USP charging ports always screw up on my phones..what's to screw up on a magnet?? Look..not for nothing the Fenix lights you are waiting to come out I can almost promise you that they won't use the rubber body that's on the SEEKER II PRO. It IS ULTRA comfortable in the hand but most important..IT NEVER GETS HOT! HUUUGE! Yea that 3200 lumen gets it cooking but the high does as well and with 3 emitters there's no chance you could hold it very long with it on anything over low setting.. the rubber is God sent! Great great lil light.. for me it IS the perfect EDC light. A bit big but hell.. some guys carry a 1911...lm not one of those guys..it really is easy to live with. Thanks for your video..l ordered the lil baton..l will see if it becomes my new EDC..I LIKE the magnetic base..the Seeker is weak and really designed to charge..it hold it's own weight BARELY horizontally..unlike the lil guy you are reviewing.. l don't think they intended for it to be used in that manner..

I'm with you , I like a tighter hot-spot myself , and I also don't like the spacing of the lighting modes , I mean it goes from 2,000 on turbo , to 600 on high and then 150 on medium , wow those are some Big jumps , I'd like to see more like 2,000 / 1,000 / 500 myself ....

I just bought the Olite S2R Baton ii and I prefer it over the Baton Pro because I prefer longer turbo time and I don’t need 2000 lumens. I’m very happy with 1150 lumens on turbo on my S2R. The turbo time for my S2R was about 2.45 seconds before it stepped down to high mode even though it’s officially rated for 2 minutes. So when you got over one minute on turbo mode with your Baton Pro I wasn’t surprised at all with it going on over time. Across the board even though the battery that came with my S2R is rated at 3200 vs 3500 on the pro I get longer battery life with it compared to the pro. Plus it’s less floody compared to the pro. I didn’t like it that Olite didn’t mention the type of led they’re using for the pro while it’s stated what type of led for the S2R which is the CRI 70 led type. It’s inexcusable for not mentioning what type of led is being used for this Pro especially at this price range. I didn’t like the high 5 lumen moonlight on the pro the S2R is perfect with a .5 lumen giving 60 days usage vs 9 days. Like I stated earlier across the board the S2R has better battery life and it was cheaper price too compared to the Pro. Plus I like the red and green led literally on top of the magnetic charger. You can see the charging status immediately compared to the side window led light charging status on the magnetic charger that came with the pro. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase with the Baton S2R Vii and it was an easy decision to choose it over the Baton Pro. I really think Olite just designed the Baton Pro for no other reason mainly so it’ll be different to the Baton S2R with some twists here and there so that there will be a new model just for the sake of a new model. I’d choose my Baton S2R again if I ever lose it over the Baton pro.

flashlights are weird. i have about 20 of them now and the only thing i learned by now is that lumen dont matter much when the beam profile isnt to your personal liking and that i dont need nearly as much lumen as i thought i would need ^^

Baton 3 Pro---1500 Max Lumens. NOT 2000. If the Baton 3 Prem isnt important....get the Bat Pro...extra 300 max lumens for $3.00.... Again...I'd love to see Olight put out a Warrior Mini 2 Premium Ed with a similar charging case. Why not a Permium Ed "Warrior 3s"?? :) Seeker 3 Pro Prem?? :)

When you need versatility, Olight and Fenix are the best. If you need the best, toughest, and most reliable light for defense, Elzetta is the best by far. I hate Olights new proprietary batteries though. You should have showed that. It is NOT an 18650. It is a proprietary 18650 that only Olight makes. It is no better than a standard high quality 18650 when it comes to performance. It cannot be charged outside the light and is incompatible with other 18650 lights and chargers and might not even be manufactured in 5 years turning your nice light into a paperweight. I think some Olight flashlights still use standard batteries. I need to check and see. Aside from that it is pretty good but the proprietary cell is a HUGE disadvantage for SEVERAL different reasons.
@ChrispyThings
@ChrispyThings 3 года назад
Most lights I’ve seen lately are going proprietary. I think the new M1T Raider by Olight takes CR123s so not all olights are proprietary yet. And even though it’s a proprietary 18650 that only olight makes, it is STILL an 18650.
@fixedfocusmediaofficial
@fixedfocusmediaofficial 3 года назад
@@ChrispyThings Maybe you did mention it in the video, but I don't remember hearing the words "proprietary" or "customized" being used. I don't remember seeing the front of the battery in the video either. A standard 18650 is compatible with all 18650 lights and chargers. The "customized" one is incompatible with everything else. There is a big difference. Saying 18650 and customized 18650 are two VERY different things. I don't mean this in a bad way and I do like your channel. I just don't want people to be surprised or confused after they buy this light.

Ive had mine for probably 5 years.. still works perfect after time and many many drops. Still charges like it should too, guess its not a paper weight after all. Nothing wrong with the batterys they are using.
@fixedfocusmediaofficial
@fixedfocusmediaofficial 3 месяца назад
@@Roadrash429 I don't like proprietary batteries and chargers. They are inconvenient and will be discontinued at some point turning the light into a paperweight. Olight has had more issues lately but they were never the highest quality lights out there. For small drops they are fine but nothing extreme. I have moved on to much higher quality brands and I'm glad I did.
