just a heads up the aperature port cover is only a dust cover and isn't water proof, but the usb-c port itself is water proof, so if you get water inside the port you need to open the aperature and air it out
Bought the orange one during Olight sale a few weeks ago. I work construction at night and is used every night so far. A little expensive but was worth it in my field of work.
I purchased the Olight Marauder 2 Flashlight in Desert Camo from the Thanksgiving special at $258.40. I was struggling a bit with the wheel and turning on the light. I got online with a service rep, they were fast and friendly. The light is a great power source, once I figured out all their features. As a female, it is a bit bulky trying to turn the wheel to get the flashlight button to turn on the light I understand it's a safety feature but can be a challenge feeling like I need two hand operation for a flashlight. I like the 14,000 lumens and the power of this light. Yes, I want USA made products as well but the reality is I can't find it for every product I use. Thanks for the product review, it helped me understand the features better.
LMAO when you flipped on the light in your living room , I was wondering why you turned on the “interior light “ ....Holy Crap that’s frickin’ bright.....👍🏽
I bought the orange limited edition and it literally came in the day you dropped this video.. I’ve been playing with it all weekend camping, charged it up and headed out. I was able to have it last the whole trip. And I was giving her the beans occasionally it’s an impressive light. The throw was able to really fling out it might not be very strong at 800 meters but I’d say it could do it. Hung it in a tree and used it to set up camp at level 5 flood
I missed the flash sale. I was an hour late when I realized it. I did get a light from olight for my pistol though. Works great. I'll be watching for the next flash sale!!
@@fredweis2383 ok brainiac. Great horned owls are not endangered and I could get a permit to dispatch it. Yet, I use a flashlight instead to scare them off. Maybe because of you i should get that permit!
@@fredweis2383 shut up fred. They kill my chickens too but I got fed up and got a permit to kill them and I most certainly do. Have killed about 40 so far. They're a plague here in Texas just like the hogs I constantly hunt and eat.
Man that really sucks they’re beautiful animals. But i feel at times if they’re not endangered and and causing property damage or harming your means of living its fine to take care of them as they’re now pests.
5:53 the focused Max setting is NOT 14000 lumens. The light puts out about 14k lumens at the maximum flood setting. The maximum brightness of the center throw led is about 1100 lumens at the max setting.
I got Olights and I think they're great. But I'm cutting way back on companies that source their manufacturing in China. China has enough support from that potato in the White House.
If you’re going to try and express the light difference at night set your camera to manual so it doesn’t auto adjust the exposure as you’re changing the flashlight output. Otherwise it does literally nothing for the light.
If it had a mode where you could use both the throw and the flood modes at the same time....AND...if they changed the shape of th hotspot to to a circle...they'd have something. I think they "shot themseles in the foot" making the hotspot a square.....I think the Maurauder lights are a gimic. Need a throw lgiht? Get their Warrior X or Javalot lights....best hotspot/spill beam profile on the market IMHO. 2 defined circles. What you'd want in a "tractical" or search situation...not a floody beam....
The batteries will go bad in time but I can't get new batteries for it, do I have to buy a new flashlight? And how long can it last if I use it everyday?
Everyone complains about the price but wants it made in the US. $300 is too much but lets make it in the US and charge $1200 for it because it has a little flag on the box 🤦♂️
Olight has sales all the time, just have to know when. I got the orange one for $220, still expensive but I made 6k in the market from my stimulus check so I had cash to lose..
Can you imagine the Marauder 2 as a non-lethal self defense devise. I asked for one for fathers day. It will be here Monday. Folks if you stopped buying China products tomorrow... you would have very little... I can overlook the made in China, for the security and life saving capabilities this light would provide in an emergency. Rioters and Looters beware the Olight.
I looked it up and almost every viable flashlight manufacturer is chinese or has its factories there. Immalent, fenix ,olight, Nitecore, Thrunite and many others are Chinese companies. There are only two companies of which i know that they are not Chinese that make good flashlights. LED Lenser which is a German company and Surefire which is American.
I have had luck with the Streamlight Survivor. High, med, strobe, moon mode. Simple and one third the price of this thing. It will stay lit for over 30 days in moon mode. Not as ninja tacticool but it is THE light used by fire fighters.
Man if it’s good it’s good it’s not coming straight from shinzeng where all of the child labor camps come from. This was actually made by people who wanted to make these believe it or not.
Yeah, if youre looking at the price to performance this isn't the best. The reason why one would buy that should be the power bank functionality, the combination of 2 different beams in one and the unique switch design, not the actual performance of the light. If you just want to have lots of light in a small package, this is not worth it
@@THEHOAXOFBLACKVICTIMIZATIONTHC I wouldn't call it cheap, I have used mine as a hammer and it still works just fine. On top of that, I've tried to put a molicell battery which is supposed to be top of the line in my flashlight and it wouldn't let me turn turbo on, so I couldn't say that Imalent batteries are cheap either
I like olight flashlights, but I really dislike how they are manufactured in China. I wish this flashlight had the same charging technology like their smaller flashlights with the magnetic charger rather than plugging in a cable.
@@thalegacy6 MCC3 is capable of 2A, which on 12V is 24W, just 6W shy of the USB C cable currently used. The Marauder 2 takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. So it was take another 30-45 minutes with the MCC3.
I wonder, how the manifacturers tested the distance :D Did somebody walk 800 meters of distance from the flashlight and said "Yep, I can see it" or what? :D
A square has more area then a circle so in theory its beam would cover more. Didn't say it looks nice, just looking for the positive in it lol. I own one...it's pretty cool despite the square beam.
