Received my own Mini this evening. My best light so far at 66 years old. I still have my Nicholls Bros Dark Blazer Model 550 from by early teen years and it still works. My Dad gave it to me and it was my first real flashlight. The Mini has a great spot and the flood in the night woods is brighter than a cloudy day in the woods. I like it. I do like the switch and how it gives you a tactile buzz when it hits high and low limit. Indents would be nice. It does have a temperature controller to lower the power when it gets hot. Thanks for the review.
You're so welcome, Wildlife! Our email is in the about section on our channel page, I would love to see what that Model 550 looks like. You should send us a picture! Stay safe and take care!
I've used Olight for about ten years now, and these truly are first-class products. They are built like tanks, the user interface is always intuitive and easy to use, and they've never let me down. I can say the same about LED Lenser too. Fenix make superb equipment, but in my experience their accessories are over-priced, which is not true of Olight or LED Lenser. To give you an example, a backup battery for the Marauder Mini is available from Olight and costs a mere £26.00; the replacement battery for the Fenix TK72 costs a whopping £75!!! Three guesses why I opted for Olight - again!
In either situation, I ALWAYS prefer that the batteries can be swapped with something that is nonproprietary, but if it does require a specific cell, I like when they are cheaper also. I haven't had an LED Lenser light for quite some time, so I think it may be time to grab one!
We have secured our winners for this giveaway! We have contacted and gotten their contact information. Congratulations to those who won and Good luck to everyone else on the next giveaways!
i have a couple of their mini lights and they are very practical for EDC on a keychain or a small bag. bought a couple more during their sale this week. can never have enough of their lights :)
Change red, green and blue into yellow! Make a third choice on the switch = both flood and throw at the same time. Moonlight choice would have been nice to have aswell! 🤗 Or keep red, green and blue but add those other mentioned things aswell, then we can truly say, it is all in one!
I definitely agree on the throw and flood mode on the switch. We recently got the TS32 from Wurkkos (yes, a review will be coming) and it is capable of that. Makes ALL the difference!
Got the i3e EO's as free gift. Impressive for a AAA alkaline set up. Love the marauder mini for it's dual functionality and ease of use. Not crazy about the dial but it's not bad either. Super cool looking flashlight that performs well. You can best it with two seperate lights but that would defeat it's purpose.
I have the Marauder 2 and purchased the Marauder Mini in orange. I was surprised how much smaller it was than its big brother. Having said that its size would still prevent it from being 'the only light you'll ever need' but it does give that idea a definite nudge. I don't think there are many more functions one could request other than a true moonlight mode and the ability to charge your phone like it’s big brother (that function has saved my butt several times during power outages). I like the double click to turbo and then double click back to medium combo. I wasn't sure what you meant about the flood and spot icons. The icons are the same on the Marauder 2. I am curious to know what the maximum lumens would have been if the dedicated RGB emitters weren't used. I own a Javelot Mini as well and I agree with you about the slight differences in the throw and beam on the Marauder Mini. The proprietary battery wasn’t a deal breaker for me but having said that I did purchase a backup battery. lol Thank you for yet another awesome review. Please keep them coming. 😊
I would have to say YES to the title question!!! it checks all the boxes in a spectacular fashion!!! Flood, thrower and they even toss in colors!!! What else do you need? 🤣👍
Got my orange one a few days ago. It’s awesome. Lots of power in a soda can sized light. Completely lit a dark drainage field (20k square feet ) near my house with no issues. The spot is a laser beam. The RGB is enough to light up a huge area also. Best light I own, followed by my warrior 3s which is also awesome
We definitely want to get a warrior 3, but holding out until we can find a white one. Our white light collection is growing. We want to make it complete!
I actually have tested an O-Link on the Marauder Mini. With the extra weight, I was not certain about the longevity of it being able to hold so I decided to stop, but I have been able to confirm that it will hold the marauder Mini. At least, in a stationary state.
It would be nice if we could charge that big battery out of the flashlight with that MCC...if you have the second battery. Just stick it on the battery...not only charge it în the flashlight.
I completely agree. Or even a small plastic host from Olight that will charge all of their batteries. I am surprised something like this hasn't come out yet.
@@torchesandtactical they might do something about this. Because of this kind of dedicated batteries i didn't buy another flashlights from olight. Last one was warrior M2R in 2019 because i can use any 18650 inside when i charge the battery externally.
Hi do you know if you can turn on red without first going to white? Nothing worse than being in a camp chilling then you blast everyone with bright white before you get the red on. Thanks
Can you please clarify. 1. Spot light max throw. 2. Spot light max candela 3. Spot light max lumens 4. Flood max throw ? 600m ? 5. Flood max candela ? 6. Flood max lumens ? 7000 ?
@@torchesandtactical can you fill in the blanks and give use the complete picture ? Best of stats is misleading and nonsense marketing BS It’s a work tool and we must have accuracy. In my job Life depends on it
olight only requires that the light that needs to be repaired gets sent back, not your entire order. go check the website. you can claim only and exactly what you need to. you gave people bad info
I never said the entire order. I stated that if the item you are returning an item and a tier gift/free item is dependent on that item, then you'll need to send the tier gift/free item back also. Please check www.olightstore.com/warranty.html under 30 day returns. I appreciate the input, but we strive for accuracy. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this was not one of them.
I understand, but I think that's why they call it a "mini". A lot of similar features in a smaller package. Not everyone wants to king size their Burger King meal. 😁
