Great review and honest opinion on this flashlight. I've ordered it on Ebay UK the white version . Looks nice in white and black. I've always thought seeker 2 pro was so nice and still have it. The dial mode looks nicer than the one on seeker 3 pro. Thanks for review!
Just got it today. I love it. The holster safety features that you can charge it with a UBC now it’s awesome and I like that these are well-built. I gone through so many batteries there’s flashlights in my 20 years working nights I drop any breaks but not with these olights. Finally, I found a company that puts well-built products out and are affordable. Great investment.
Idk looking at run times hard pass you can say as many lumens as you want but if it's turbo B's and only a minute or so it's useless and the usable lights is the settings before 🤷
On your pocket clip comment 5:42, I also feel they nickel-and-dimed a little on this one. Their reasoning would be because of the holster. The holster acts as your clip; they also don't include an MCC but the holster acts as your charging solution. They are probably also banking on the likelihood that if you've got this olight you've probably got others so will have MCCs to spare, which is probably fair.
It's the olight MCA Charger for the recharge time test and the olight ostation for the holster demonstration. They have available on their website and on Amazon.
From prepper's point of view, Olight's proprietary charging system is a big NO. You don't want to end up unable to recharge your torch in some emergency if not apocalyptic situation because it has special needs.
Does the light seat all the way in the charging holster with the pocket clip attached? It looks like it does. It would be annoying having to take the clip off to charge in the holster. Thanks for the review!
I got the Seeker 4 Pro recently. Found later that the Turbo mode is only available when battery >- 70% Is this a common thing to cut-out the Turbo mode like that?
I wonder why they didn't just use the same ring in the base for charging? Hopefully there is an engineering reason and not just marketing. Doing away with the proximity sensor seems like a negative. I need a torch for the strobe function for self defense and having to unlock first made me disregard the seeker 3 pro and the 4 is unfortunately the same.
The 2 different rings are for 2 different functions. The large ring on the holster has an automatic unlock feature that unlocks the light when you remove it form the holster. The smaller ring is for basic magnetic charging. I didn't mention this is the video because olight screws itself by not sharing this kind of information until last minute and failing to clearly state this information in the manual. They're vague and it makes my ability to convey this information more difficult. If you're looking for a tactical flashlight that will kick ass it's go with the NITECORE p23i
The holster is just too big, it should have come with a clip, though the clips should be available to buy separately soon. Really would have liked the clip and a hole for a lanyard or other tether option... just weird they don't do that on a larger light like this. The marauder mini has one. Charging on Olights is always a bit annoying with the specialty cables and batteries...
The sale is now over so the price I mentioned was the lowest price it will be until it goes on sale again. It was on sale for $97 but now that the sale is over it is $140.
