My two favourite torches! Great review. I think the 3S is the best pocket carry going to be honest (at least in the 21700 size), it's my favourite light to just have in my pocket when I go out at night. Where the X3 comes into its own is when you are specifically going somewhere that you know will require a torch for long periods. Then I'm happy to put up with the bigger size head for the benefit of the throw and also because it's a super comfy torch to hold for long periods thanks to the grip ring.

I normally go with the 3S or warrior mini 3 if it's going in the pocket :D

I think if i had to choose a light to beat someone to death with in order to escape, it would be the X 3. Seriously that thing is a tank. You really could use it as a weapon and crack a skull with those zirconium beads. They're harder than steel, so definitely harder than a skull. I do not recommend it though. The X 3 is just blindly intense and impressive. Not as ergomic though, so if weight and size are an issue then go with the other.

Yeah that's why I go with smaller lights if I'm carrying it on me. The larger ones will outperform smaller ones most of the time though!

Great video, how many times can the S3 hold up on turbo mode before it steps down and cool down. Can it handle more turbo mode than just one time on same battery charge? Like my warrior X3 it only have one Turbo time/cycle on each battery charge before it steeps down to 1200L. On my baton 3 pro max i can use it on Turbo many times as it cool down enought to use it again. Thanks.

Can check this video I made: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gPuUzyPJuZE.html If I remember correctly, it was around 30 secs to 1 min. You can reactivate turbo again. Depends on the battery voltage and how hot the light is. If you activate turbo and run the light for an hour, the battery voltage may be too low for a second reactivation.

The X3, it has some volume on it, three ceramic beads you could do some damage with. Similar brightness. But lots more candela to blind someone.

The x3 is great to pair with a headlamp. I use the ring with the light in my back pocket. The ring hangs on the edge and I can pull it fast. I'd have to cut the top flap of the holster to make it useful. The cover obstructs a quick pull.

Ah nice, I don't like the bulk of the tactical ring but it is very tactical and makes the light easy to deploy.

I'd get the Nextorch, it's a more 'serious' tactical flashlight.

Different lights with different purposes. Warrior 3S are for EDC but still a decent thrower, the other light is just not designed for comfortable carry.

Neither. Olight are overpriced and are not as good as people make them out to be. I've had a few and have had to replace them with other brands that are better and cheaper. As a firefighter I can't afford for my equipment to let me down, peoples lives depend on me and I depend on my equipment.

@@esisolinain every objective 3rd party test conducted, Modlight, Cloud Defensive, Olight, and even Streamlight consistently outperform Surefire in both performance and especially durability. (Look up torque test channel's test on Olight vs Surefire). Surefire is the new maglite, but they are so entrenched in the tactibro community that people still spend their money on them. It's an expensive logo with good marketing on a mediocre flashlight.

If you're a fire fighter, why were you using Olight products? I'm a big fan of Olight and think their products are excellent personally, but you require intrinsically safe (IS) lights as a firefighter which Olight do not make...
