When you set the max temp to 70 on the SC31 Pro you can run max ramp till dead. It stabilises around 60c. Id take the Sofirn over an olight anyday. There just hype in my opinion and no better then other brands.

To be honest… Olight because they have such great colors and patterns on their lights. And that doesn’t even touch on the materials such as titanium and other metals. So Olight for my money.

The sofirn's beam seems alot better it doesn't have a circle in the center.

Olight only gives you 1 year warranty for the battery and ALL accessories! (they've hidden this info in the fine print of the manual)

I see, so the light is covered but not the battery or charging cable, for example.

I have the Sofirn SC31T Pro. The way I have it configured currently is a short tube 18350 and a magnetic tail cap. I like the options I have with the SC31T Pro & it is about 1/3 the cost of the Olight.
@WilliamsKnifeLife

The SC31T Pro also has a less advanced version of Anduril that adds the strobes & blinkies but skips all the programming features of Anduril 2.
@PardonMyEnglish
@PardonMyEnglish Год назад
Nice! That less advanced UI sounds good to me at this point. I’m sure one day I’ll work my way up the the Anduril 2 UI.
@WilliamsKnifeLife

@Pardon My English it would help if they supplied a full page Anduril 2 diagram. Shrinking down a complex interface wasn't the smartest thing to do. They do say they have a PDF you can download.

I’ll have to check that out. No desire to squint at that tiny advanced UI diagram, haha! Thanks for the heads up 🤜🤛

Would you take the SC31 Pro over the SC32? Have you seen that one yet?
@PardonMyEnglish

I have not seen that one yet.

For EDC I would take the SC32 over the SC31 Pro because Anduril looks too complicated to most people they won't even try to learn it. The SC32 has a very compact size which is probably the smallest 18650 flashlight with USB C at the moment, you also get a 2-way pocket clip and a tail switch which might reduce the possibility of accidental activation while in the pocket. 2 things people might not like about the SC32 firstly there is no magnetic tail and secondly due to its small size the flashlight is only able to maintain turbo mode for about a minute and high mode for about 3-4 minutes then it drops to around 400 lumens you can keep reactivate the turbo but as long as the temperature is still high then the output will continue to drop and when the flashlight is hot the turbo might only last a few seconds.

I live in a very wet environment so USB flippy-flaps are a hard no for me.
@PardonMyEnglish
@PardonMyEnglish Год назад
That’s a good point and environment is a good thing to consider. I didn’t think of that as a factor in the decision but it makes total sense.

I live on the equator in an area where it rains a lot every year, I also get a fair amount of exposure to oil and grease so I wash my Wurkkos HD15 quite often with water and soap but in over a year my flashlight has never had any water damage.
@PardonMyEnglish
@PardonMyEnglish Год назад
Nice. I’ve heard good things about Wurkkos. Some of their models seem very similar to those of Sofirn.
@XperiencePureness
@XperiencePureness Год назад
@@PardonMyEnglish Although Wurkkos is not part of Sofirn, both companies' flashlights are designed by the same team and manufactured by Sofirn's parent company, Jinba Ltd, which is a manufacturing company, therefore there are similarities in some of their flashlights. Previously, if you wanted a flashlight with the latest features/LEDs with decent quality and an affordable price, Sofirn was usually the best choice for you, but the latest Wurkkos flashlight looks more attractive than Sofirn flashlights, even for similar flashlights, for example Sofirn IF19 vs Wurkkos TS11.
@aallan8830
@aallan8830 Год назад
@@XperiencePureness It's not rain but rather the wet air in salt water environments. Even if I never expose metal to the rain, just the dampness in the air corrodes. Good on you for keeping up with maintenance, it's the only way.

I was looking on olight's website the other day and noticed it now says lights sold from 2023 on are lifetime warranty regardless of what the box says.

Been using an Olight warrior mini 2 for work for several months. I think it's a fantastic light with a lot of great features. I own a few Sofirn lights and they are also pretty great. But, to be completely honest the Olight is pretty hard to beat for an EDC style light
@PardonMyEnglish

Yes, the WM2 pretty much has everything. Magnetic charging, magnetic tail switch, sensor, solid clip configurations, runtimes, beam pattern, and cool accessories 👍

They actually make a Sofirn SC31T Pro @ 2,250 lumens. It is basically the same price and size just more power. I think you would be pleasantly surprised with the new Sofirn SC35 T 3800 lumen lil monster. For a $35 light, it outperforms almost everything in it's class. I think you would also like the GT nanopro from Lumintop..... 10440 and amazing throw!

Thanks for the recommendations! The Funny thing is that I have been considering the Lumintop GT Nano a lot lately. And yes Sofirn provides such incredible value. I’ll definitely be getting more of their products over time 👍

Great comparison but a tough video to watch. The video auto white balance was annoying, music a little too loud and the constant throat-clearing was off-putting.
