Here is my instrumental version of "Hopelessly Devoted To You" which was originally recorded by the British-Australian singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John for the 1978 film version of the musical "Grease". It was written and produced by John Farrar. The song was not part of the original stage musical production (and was replaced with the 1950s standard "Since I Don't Have You" for the 1994 revival), but it was added to the score for the 2007 revival
I played this using my Fender Stratocaster (Bridge Pickup) with the Zoom G2.1Nu programmed with Echoes From The Past (EFTP Patch A9).
Recording was done via USB to my home PC with Cubase
The backing track was from Karaoke Version and can be purchased here - www.karaoke-version.co.uk/ins...
I also used tablature written by Ger Sanders
I hope you enjoy my version of this heartbreaking ballad
LYRICS:
Guess mine is not the first heart broken
My eyes are not the first to cry
I'm not the first to know
There's just no getting over you
You know I'm just a fool who's willing
To sit around and wait for you
But, baby, can't you see
There's nothing else for me to do?
I'm hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide
Since you pushed my love aside
I'm out of my head
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
My head is saying, "Fool, forget him."
My heart is saying, "Don't let go.
Hold on till the end."
And that's what I intend to do
I'm hopelessly devoted to you
But now there's nowhere to hide
Since you pushed my love aside
I'm out of my head
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
