I’ve had the OG robusto and the nub vitolas and they were amazing. It’s such a chill cigar to smoke. I’m glad you enjoyed it and I will look forward to trying the figurado soon. Cheers brother!!

Great review, great smoke. In terms of quality for the money (especially when discounted) one can do much, much worse than Oliva's top-line offerings, especially the Melanio. Occasionally a good one-off, limited edition Sumatra emerges but it's hard to compete with Oliva's fairly consistent, year-in, year-out quality. It always ends up in the conversation. Looking forward to your final raking. Awesome series on one of my favorite wrapper varietals! Thanks Mike!
I agree with you about Olivas a lot of their blends are enjoyable but not terribly complex. However, I find them enjoyable for the most part, just don’t seek them out often. I also think the Serie V Maduro is one of their best hands down. Not sure if I’ve had the Melanio yet though.
Something about the serie V(non Melanio) is very unappealing to me. Maybe I have to try one that's been sitting for like a year. They are RUGGED fresh.
I really enjoy them. You might not, but you can find boxes pretty cheap. Worst case scenario, you have some not too expensive, decent cigars to hand out.
