My experiments with Lard candles (before I knew about forever wicks) I managed to get them to light using a normal candle as a core. They were smokeless and odourless. Watching your videos has given me the solution to make a reliable candle.
Yes indeed the trick is half inch tubing cut it at 1 and 1/2 in tall and then stand it up somehow with wire or a cone made from a small lid canning lid and you're in business put a wake up through it and you'll be fine....
