Glad you were able to get up a new video this week I always enjoy seeing what you come up with. Looking forward to seeing the finished version of this soon thanks again!
Living in central CA with temps in upper 90-100s for 3 months cracking is a minor problem if after cutting a piece water based paint is applied to the ends and wood stored on a pallet and tarred. We have a lot of olive and pistachio, both very beautiful woods. Boiling a rough bowl or microwaving are also good methods. Keep up the good work.
Oh and by the way. This would not be my first spider on one of my videos. Check out my mulberry video several of them got flung out of that wood onto the wall and were crawling up in plain sight
Where do you source your olive? I seem to get a lot in Central California and it always smells like wine ,I'm on the coast around vineyards so i know wine. Try waxing the ends I have good luck with that. Dennis
Thanks Dennis, I have a tree trimming and removal business on the south coast of California. my wood comes from various jobs I do. We do have a lot of Olive around us However I remove very little. Though I’ve planted hundreds of Them. I’ll try waxing my next bowl to see if it helps. This project has 2 bowls going to the same person.
