OLIVER 1250 (Fiat 415) project update

Ross, I've said it many times, load up on vitamins, it will really help you with whatever you're fighting. Now, on a more serious note. When my grand father was alive and I was just knee high to a grasshopper, whenever he needed a part and none could be found. He made it, meaning, he made a casting and literally made the part. Back then, just a bit of history, many farmers didn't have a lot of money and times were tough so, many farmers made due and made their own parts. Some were good, some... not so much. It's also why for a lot of older equipment we see cobbled up repair jobs. To forge/cast a new part, not going to say it took skill but, it took patience and lots of practice. My grand dad only had an 8th grade education and for that, for what he knew and how he made things work and work just like new... that was skill and experience. Something that seems to be lost in the newer generations. By the way, your cooling solution... that hose just isn't big enough, need at least 6 in hose. LOL Hope you get to feeling better soon. There are a pair of Oliver 1250 parts tractors for sale on FB Marketplace in Watkins Glen NY, one gas one diesel... and neither one runs. They want $1500 apiece for them though. That's NY for you. Everyone thinks they have a golden shoebox.

Great job finding those front lights,,take it back to the picture in the add ,you can get the decals as well yet I would think from a company that can lazer cut and duplicate them ,they might be already available to purchase

Ross ,surely you have one of those remote starter devices you clamp on,so to make it easy for yourself to start or test rotation and to turn the engine over while standing aside of your tractors, without using the key switches on the dashes ?? Then you could of determined and measured the travel of that fuel pump rod, pulsing in and out before you bolted the new fuel pump on

I know you already have the water pump mounted, but when I saw the adapter plate, I immediately thought that would be great to put on. At the same time, I felt like it was on, and if it works, why change it. I don't know, but I'm sure glad it's not my decision 😂😂. Those rear tires look like new,as far as the lugs anyway,the little tractor worth bringing it back the way your going,but those decals on the hood have to go !!! ,they make a auto body fiction rotating eraser you put in your drill so to remove them decals without messing or digging into the surface paint. Adding and making more work of it all

Rotate the pump one space towards the engine,so to flatten out and face the lines, facing across the engine better ,but that's just me

Water cooled with an air cooled engine! Shouldn’t you have a diesel pony engine to start your gasoline engine too? 😂😂😂
