Thanks! I had parts book for the 460 plow, so I knew it existed, but had never seen one until this one showed up on the Internet. Ive only seen one other since, but there has to be more of them out there. The front could be ordered as a 4 or 5 bottom, and it could have from 3 to 5 bottoms on the back plow.
You have a Aslome tractor & plow. Please video more of the 2255 as they are one of my Favorite Muscle Tractors of the 60 thru 80s era . Love the sound of the Motor.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris Ours was a pull 5 bottom and a semi mounted 4. Our 2255 was 4 Wheel drive with an under over assist transmission.full cab. We were in the red River valley of Western Minnesota. Moorhead. It was sold at auction . We also had 5 1855, 1 1955, 1 550 , 1 770 , 2 66 For tractors. They were all sold.
With a turbocharger it would only burn 1/2 the fuel to do the same amount of plowing. It would need a way to protect the oil pan from the hot pipes though.
It's supposed to be around 145 horsepower. When I had it on the dyno, that's about when the pto clutch started slipping, so I'm not 100% sure at this time.
Why is this very powerful tractor tracking at 45° to straight down the furrow? Is the hitch not hooked correctly? Seems it would not treat the tractor right with this result.
A friend who had never driven anything quite like this was at the wheel, so there was a steep learning curve. Or in other words, he didn't always drive straight.
@@RJ1999x I read above that this was a newbie operator. I am thinking it will handle more plow or more gear, even both in this field. Please note, no weight transfer, just brute drawbar power.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris MM used to advertise that the G706 with FWA could pull up to 9 bottoms or replace a crawler. That was like 1964. Weight, traction and torque.
The 2255 was the highest horsepower Oliver tractor built, so the Cat was the strongest in an Oliver application. Not to be a nit-picker, but the 2-70, 1550, and 1855 used Oliver/Waukesha engines, and the 2-150 used and Minneapolis Moline engine.
The 2255 had the 3150 from 1972 through the first half of 1974, when the 3208 replaced it. The 3208 was used from then until the end of production in 1976.
@@ThatOliverGuyChris hahaha yet another problem with the educational system . WFE. The vibrational frequency in the cab of a 135 can cure most health issues including death.
Thank you everybody for stopping by and watching! This is my first video to pass 100,000 views! You can now watch footage of this tractor on the dynomometer at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R0zGNPrYro8.html My brother also has video of it running a snow blower on his channel at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w9aCsnSl9Ug.html
Jake Ziegler I have just the one flex back plow. It's a 5 bottom unit with the hitch on the back, so the total number of bottoms is determined by which plow you put on the back, up to another 5 bottoms.
