Work in coal industry for 25yrs as a metal fabricator and this song made me tear up because of how true it is in this world we live in today. Thank you for singing the truth.
As a 30 year old welder putting my wife through RN school so she can better herself and life for our son I feel this song so much. It’s hard to look your 2yr old in eye and tell him no in the store when he wants a cheap toy because rent and lights are due Friday.
Welder and machinist here and I'm with you brother. I appreciate your effort to better your family and this country. We're not giving our life's away for nothing. Our children will remember our extreme determination in order to feed the family.
I used to talk to my fuss about wanting junk in the store. “They put this junky toys and candy there (end caps) to trick you! Don’t fall for their tricks. 😉 We had a craft box of cardboard tubes, packing materials etc. and other stuff to cut up to make imaginative stuff) Called it the treasure chest. Rainy day fun!!
I'm from the foothills of rural Appalachia, this is how we feel as we watch our fathers die far too young of cancer and we struggle in shame to keep the land all before us were able to, but not us, at least it doesnt look that way at this point
I'm from Upstate New York and now live in Texas due to being an army brat and I agree. We work hard, we pay our taxes and fight in their Wars and what have we got but shattered dreams and broken homes. Even then it is not enough to feed their greed. They piss on our beliefs and our heritage. They plunder our nation and despoil our people. They want nothing but our complete and utter submission and even then that will not be enough to satisfy them. They want us to be little more than cattle and our young ones to be their playthings.
This is the War Cry we have all been harboring internally and now a Courageous man STOOD UP and sang our hearts cry! God bless this man for his courage to sing about the burden we've all been carrying. 🙏💛🇺🇸
🎯 One of the truest comments I've seen since first hearing this song. I've watched at least 15 reaction videos, and we sure needed this. People around the world are feeling it too. Goodtimes.
Oliver lives an off-the-grid lifestyle and has written a bunch of songs hes recorded onto youtube with his mobile. When RadioWV heard this one they decided to go out and record him. which is what we see here. You can see why its going viral, the emotion he sings this with and the fact the lyrics are just so on point is really having an effect on people. I mean the mans tearing up over the state of the world
You know him, tell him, he's started something he may need to stand behind, and we'll all support that. God bless him for putting my thoughts into a song, along with most Americans that have suffered and toiled to make a living, or not....
It’s not just the bite the take before you get your paycheck it’s the bite they get every time you buy something with that already taxed money from your paycheck then if you happen to save something and happen to pass away then that money gets taxed again when your loved ones get it. And to where? Where does it go??? To the rich men north of Richmond!!!
Damn straight and they do their very best to make sure that Their UNIPARTY Establishment stays in control while they pit Left against Right - Corrupt to their very souls...
Facts - taxing money that's already been taxed, then taxing it again after you spend it or don't spend it and save it ... then give it to a 5'3" 300lb person buying fudge rounds. Insanity
@@Jim-DCEI worry more about the corporate welfare and buying influence around the world before I worry about money given to a fellow countryman. It's just not visible in everyday life.
I love this as an anthem for hard working blue collar men. My husband and I got married young, (19, 21). My husband decided he wanted to work in the oilfields to get a skilled trade. He got a job in the desert in the middle of nowhere. I didn't want to be without him so we went together with our baby. He worked like a dog, 90 hours a weak maintaining oil tankers, worked his way up, but it was a rough few years. It was very isolated, we lived in a camper, spotty electricity, no wifi, no laundry facilities, I washed clothes in a barrel like we were out on the prairie, but we made it, listening to this song makes me think about my husband stumbling home absolutely exhausted from a days work, covered in fuel, and just needing a hug. He would hold our baby and I would hold him and he would just sleep. That line about kicking men down hit me so hard 😢 I made damn sure my husband didn't have to do anything when he got home, but I was the only woman on the yard, most wives were far away in the houses these men paid for. Brutal lives and then rich academics and politicians pontificate on the evils of men and it infuriates me.
see it in 2 days 30 times. right to the point and i hear his sole speaking.. and im not from the usa .. people don,t need a timberlake or a bridney spears . this is what people needed.!!!!!!!!!
I herd this song about an hour ago. Sent it to everyone i know. This song hits a cord for all the real people out there. 2 days old over 2mil views. Best part wish politician's would care about minors not just the one on islands..wow.
Nah man he said "I wish politicians would look out for miners, not just minors on an island somewhere." It was a double meaning. Like if they were as interested in the wellbeing of the working man as they are about diddling kids.
Listened to this song 25-50x today. Gave me chills each time. the MSM is already putting a target on him. @joerogan tweeted this video. 1st saw it at 7am (w/ just over 1M views- by 9pm over 3m). Then came across your channel. Glad you liked it & shared it. He'll blow up for sure. Maybe a few days, few weeks...who knows. But he's got plenty of other songs that are pretty good as well.
All country music is story telling and just taking you into a country person's everyday life and the struggles we have to go through because the rich men north of Richmond don't care bout us except when it's time to go to war or when its time to vote.
@@Jim-DCE Amazing! I love this guy! A true HARD working American! Hard work pays off and hopefully, he's able to now make a little extra money so he's not struggling to feed the family.
People missing this line about suicide .Young men are putting them selves 6 feet in the ground, because all this damn country does is keep on kicking them down. He’s talking about all the young men committing suicide at an alarming rate today. I fighting like hell right now to keep my 26 year old son from killing himself.
In the late 1970's, there was a song that connected with the plight of the working man at the time called "Take This Job And Shove It". This song feels like an even deeper, more raw version of that song. So powerful.
His video is already at 4.3 million views as of this comment. You can see by the number of people watching your reaction video (30k+ as of posting this comment) that this video hits home to millions, maybe billions, around the world. Thanks for reviewing it.
Love that you recognize that there is really nothing left to say after this except... Sing IT!!!! Now we have to pray for this young brother who is newly sober... Everyone in the world wants a piece of him and fame is more intoxication than booze... The vultures started circling him within hours after this hit...
I'm glad you are a True Full Blooded American Brother !!!!!! This song says it all !!!!! It grabs your heart and you feel his pain and you can tell that he loves our country !!!! To everyone that hears this song and you makes you feel like it did me !!!!! IF YOU LOVE AMERICA YOU WILL SHARE THIS SONG EVERYDAY !!!!!!!! WE NEED TO GET CONTROL OF OIR COUNTRY BACK !!!!!!! POLITICIANS WORK FOR US !!!!! THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT !!!!!! AMERICA NEEDS A RESET NOW !!!!! I PRAY EVERYDAY THAT OUR COUNTRY CAN GET BACK TO THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD !!!!!! THE ONLY THAT WILL HAPPEN IS IF !!!!!!!!! WE THE PEOPLE STAND UP FOR OIR COUNTRY !!!! AND MAKE OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS DO THE RIGHT THING !!!!!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🙏❤❤
Nice job with the review. I appreciated that you let the song play instead of interrupting it. That alone made me decide to subscribe to your channel. Funny how one song can resonate with so many people. Not only in this country, but, going by comments I've seen on other channels, internationally as well. Subbed!!
It was the passion poured into the anti-government/anti-war theme that created the finest legends of the 60's/70's; the greatest musical era since Beethoven in my opinion ~ ~ ~ this song takes me straight back to that time. ✌
Thank you everything you said is 100! My history in construction and that world and the grit we've been through earning to support our families, etc. This is just SO Real! So very heart hitting! Thank you for your commentary Brother! God Bless you and all you do!
Speaking of taxes, what about the taxes extracted by the private sector in the form of health care, education and housing costs increasing at a higher rate than earnings for the past 40 years?
What a raw expressive voice. His word speak volumes. The 'Dobro' ( excuse me.. resophonic guitar) is unusual instrument for a single player but it just works.. Thanks for sharing it.
As a West Virginian it reminds me of “Sellin my soul to the company store” (that too is a song) back when mining companies paid their people in a manner that only allowed them to buy from their company store. Inturn taking the money they paid out, right back….
This song is saying what all of us Americans have been feeling. While those rich men North of Richmond keep fighting over foreign wars, illegal immigration, pronouns, DEI, and other BULLSHIT, we are carrying the weight of the responsibility. That is OUR hard-earned money going to fund Rich Men north of Richmond pockets. Revolution is needed and coming to save this once great nation. We the People are crying out ...but the tears will soon stop. This song reflects the SOUL of our nation, and those men North of Richmond don't relate because their souls are already gone.
Oliver Anthony is a factory worker from Virginia. He writes songs and performs in his spare time. Here's a link to another one of his songs. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dZwJmKS8Xac.html
