Those apple slices fit enough for him to just chomp them down whole and he still takes it bite by bite. Remarkable, it's like he's intelligent enough to actually either enjoy the taste or at least have a sense of leisure. For anyone wondering Oliver is still alive and currently living in Milwaukee County Zoo in Wisconsin, USA, he is turning 35 on the 7th October 2023, if you ever pay him a visit make sure to call him a handsome boy (he likes it).
Still is pretty innocent either way. Gorillas are way more likely to use intimidation or diplomacy to deal with each other or pesky humans than violence.

For everyone saying he’s dead, that’s not true. Oliver is currently alive and well. Everyone is confusing him with a different Oliver, a chimpanzee who died in 2012
