I doubt the veracity of this. Reed was well known to be a consumnate professional who astounded people with his ability to stay up all night drinking, yet appear on set the next morning, on time, and deliver exactly what was required.
Pure fantasy story ! Oliver Reed was never drunk on film sets, he was the consummate professional while filming, John Bindon was an extra in most things he did, only had minor parts so wasnt really a main player in anything, In fact the truth is John bindon was notorious for trying to slow the production down of films he was involved in as he was always paid a day rate as he was only a bit player going as far as stealing scripts and filming schedules to put a halt to production which caused him to be underused and his career stalling, however Oliver Reed had a successful film career which wouldnt have been achievable if he had been pissed on set all the time, get your facts right guys.
Nice one did you ever see Reed on Parkinson's show come I so drunk couldn't stand up I really respect your comment but mate your Rong thanks so much for liking my channel again big respect
@@bangbangrayhill2218 That wasnt on a film set, you should check out the Aspel interview with John Thaw and Richard attenborough he was stone cold sober on that one. You cant just make stories up because someone was known to be drunk sometimes, I have read there books and this thing never happened , Sounds good though 🤣😂
Bindon lost it all when he done for murder. Even a NG could not save him being a film star. Without the murder charge Bindon was going places. NOT my words but Micheal Caine.
You had me in stitches with this story mate 😂 Such a character was Oliver Reed, brilliant actor and so well spoken but a right bugger after a drink! I saw him on the Johnny Carson show where he was making chauvinist comments and the American actress Shelly Winters poured a glass of whiskey over his head! Another chat show I saw as well where he was clearly plastered, rubbing guests up the wrong way and was asked to leave 😂😂 Love your channel Ray 🥊
I saw a few of those interviews.😂 Oliver Reed lived in Ireland in his last year's and did alot of charity work for disabled children . He was a wild one no doubt
Funny story Ray.. Oliver used to challenge everyone to an arm wrestle in the pubs here and Jersey. Him and the Who's drummer Keith Moon together were a nightmare. One of them fired a shotgun at the other cant remember which one.
Wow hahaha that's mad he wasn't all there when having a drink I no he used to like a fight hahaha 🤣🤣 I think it's so funny drink makes them Crazy imagine them WTF would thay be like on coke
@@bangbangrayhill2218Do you know that doctors give people who have a hyperactive disorder Pure Speed yes Speed you would think that would be the last thing to give someone who is hyperactive but apparently it calms them down it has the opposite affect on people like that.
That is a Damn Good Story! Heard many stories about Reed when he was making movies here in the States. Had quite a rep As a drinker and brawler. Sounds like Bindon had enough that day🤣
You should write a book jammed packed with these stories or work with a ghostwriter on them. The public love this kind of behind the scenes "fly on the wall" stuff. However, like all drunks, Reed was a pain in the arse, needlessly aggresive, and a bore--but a tormented soul. They all are. They descend into Hell with during black out drinking and cause irreparable damage to their children and wives/girlfriends, none of whom have amusing anecdotes to tell about any of it. Any book should make this clear. -Kevin Whelan
You no what I don't think he was top dog but it was a part he really liked jimmy Tippet told me if he hadn't of died and got AIDS he would of been a great actor
@bangbangrayhill2218 my mothers partner used to say he'd go around everyone's house and demand they have one tipple with him before he went, think it was a little village in Guernsey i think🤣mad bastard
My old pal worked with the British Guild Of Film Institute Drivers, at Pinewood. He met Nosher many times, through his stunt work. He always spoke highly of Nosher. Everywhere Bindon went, trouble followed....just ask The Who!
Hows things looking well Ray. Wondered if u ever met Arthur Thompson and Jimmy Boyle. Seemingly Boyle wiz K.O by a Kray associate which was stopped by Frank Frazor. Oliver Reed seemed crazy . Funny as. Nosher P . Gentleman seems great guy. Respect no badness intending 👍🏻🏴🇮🇪
Thats nothin mate read about when cider woman clashed with brown bottle in the park , mayhem mate , absolute madness, cor blimey you never seen anithin like it, crash bank wallop ,cor blimey, bosh bang thwack crack ,spark right out , claret ,rivers of it, faah kin ell then she only goes an its the coppa with the motor😊
Nosher turned the Krays away from a club on shaftsbury ave, end of the night he locked the doors, went to the middle of the road and ran all the way down it to his cars, because he was scared the twin's were going to jump out and do him! NOSHERS WORDS!!!! They were no the jokes you want them to be, serious people were petrified of them. And they lasted a lot longer then the dopey brother's from south London.
Another great story Ray you can see the funny side of the story like a film in its self i said i would get to you Nosher with the boxer who got out of control hitting the ref Nosher crabbed him boxer wanted to fight Nosher and Roy jumped in to stop the boxer it is online on V.S.M presents Guv nor form around 1978 with Nosher Roy Lenny and others if you look through abut three quarters of the way in the documentary good insight into underground boxing at that time
@@bangbangrayhill2218 Yes i thought you would be seemed like is was cut in places you might even be in it can you remember if you were still a good documentary
