Man! it's been way too long since I've been around other people who enjoy drawing/art in general. Thanks for reminding me how fun it can be to just draw. :) Also, idk if there's a specific purpose behind them or whatever, but these sketchbook videos are really neat.

Oh my goodness. I love Oliver's style. I'm faving this.. Would be awesome if he had a profil on Deviantart or "other" places. Drawing this much is what we can strife for. This style reminds me of my own, just a lot cleaner. I'm green with envy. Keep uploading student sketch books. This is motivation for my starving talent.

i draw all the time for fun and now im in college taking more art classes and photography journalism art is a very great way of expression of different feelings:P keep up the great work! and are teachers allowed to record students art work online? jw....

@MaracZumra (this is Oliver) Hahaha my voice was squeaking pretty badly, I've never been filmed before so I was really nervous. That might be why it sounds so high-pitched. Also I'm not sure who'll see this, but I do indeed have a deviantART. I didn't have Matt post it at first because it's rather sparse, but he has it on the blog now. He's really talented, but he had little issues with the head proportion, I guess he got even better by now. I really like his trace.

I think that seeing sketches from other people can help others to inspired to enjoy the magic of drawing and to forget everything that is happening on the 2020 to 2021 and more and sorry for not pronouncing well the words in english please don't judge

those are great!...i'm 19 and all I can draw is cartoons :P...i can pretty much draw anything cartoon related...but I wanna draw realistic portraits so bad....just haven't been able to draw one i like yet...I have a hard time drawing the noses and mouths...

Just curious- How old do you have to be to participate in these classes? They seem so fun and everyone is so talented!

I'm really not a fan at all of those furries, and his cartoons need more line of action and hierarchy, but what I really like of his is his illustrative drawings, they are very good.

Agh!! This art is gorgeous;; it makes me so sad because I grew up with severe adhd and didn't go on ritalin until highschool.. So I was always really creative and loved to draw but id just lose or throw out all my work..

I can't believe this person is of the same age as I am right now. He is a thousand miles way ahead of me when it comes to drawing. My God. That's depressing.

@Thisisnotmyrealname8 Oh sorry, I forgot that everything vaguely fictional was created by the Zelda series. My bad. (pointy ears??) @infernonecro130 I pretty much use whatever is lying around. I used a... Faber-Castel small-point pen for most of these, I think. That or Micron. I also use ballpoint a lot.

@de8struction I'm not matthew39arch, but I'll throw my 2 cents in, Honestly, you just have to draw every day. You're bound to improve. It can be anything from a little gesture doodle, to a full-blown piece if you feel like it. As far a creativity, I would suggest just absorbing the world around you via your environment, movies, tv, books, etc.

holy shit i'm a senior at high school taking AP art and my drawings are nowhere near as good as these, question for Matthew, does one become a better artist in college or do you need to already be this good when you enter college?

could be col-erase pencils, they are erasable animation pencils and the guy in an animation major.

I need to ask, those red and blue pencils everyone seems to be using, what pencils are those? Just ordinary red and blue colouring pencils or...?
