I love Olivia Cooke so much. Her eyes are so big and her smile is insane. Oh yeah and she's crazy talented, I mean perfect accents every time, and she's legitimately funny off the cuff. And I really like her real accent to boot.
Amber Lee it’s bc she’s half Argentinan half british and the sort of Scottish tone is bc her dad is half Scottish . She’s was born in Florida but not actually American
It’s so interesting seeing Olivia with Anya and then seeing her with Emma D’arcy you can truly appreciate how friends emma and olivia are when u compare them to her and anya
Both women absolutely killed their roles, they disappeared behind their characters. It’s such an underrated film, one of my favorites of all time. Finley is a hungry filmmaker. His follow up film Bad Education was also a perfect film.
Its weird though. If you watch other interviews, you'll see that Anya also speaks in a normal american accent. She is from Florida. I'm so confused. Lol.
@@amberlee9288 Anya is from Argentina and her parents are British. Very much mixed so her accent would adjust from her surrounding since English isn't her 1st language
Anya was born in Miami, moved to Argentina with her family shortly after and only spoke Spanish till she moved to London at age 6. So English is her second language and she’s stated in previous interviews that she’s aware that she’s got a mix of accents going on due to her upbringing and the people she’s been surrounded with over the years.
Anya Taylor Joy soaking up that British accent. It happens to me as well, if I hang out with people that speak the same language but have a different accent. It's interesting how quickly you adapt..
No, her most important years were spend in Argentina. By that I mean first 6 years, before she moved to London. And then at age 14 8 years later to US. She is 22 now. There's no reason for her to have any sort of British accent. But she has the ability to soak it in faster than others.
I read that she went to England and there she had to learn English. So if she was to learn English in England, she'd definitely catch that accent first.
As a brit, you can hear her American accent bleeding through. Honestly she strikes me as someone who maybe has a bit of both but thinks the British accent sounds better so she's trying to sound more like that.
