Have you seen the new design for these? Seems much more practical then the old version. Looks like they added more traction compared to the ones you have.
Even though I'm following you from Winnipeg, Canada, and am a blacksmith, even your shoe related videos are quite interesting. I have a question for Farrier Huston: what do you suggest for a horse that has developed bad flares on all four feet? A friend's friend has a horse which I saw last weekend in such shape. Having grown up with Arabians (although I never did any trimming) I recognized it right off.
Get a good farrier to re-shape them! There is no reason for flares to develop other than not trimmed frequently enough. Not always the farriers fault, I have had customers that will not have their horses trimmed although they need it. I can only advise, not insist that they are done. I'm guessing the horse is unshod, if it's shod that is a different story!
