An extraordinary song that stood out so much in the mediocre 1992 field. Absolutely fabulous, still my favorite of that year. I miss when Eurovision had gems like this every single year.

Cleopatra's Byzantine style of singing reminds me of Greek diva Haris/Haroula Alexiou, probably one of her greatest influences, but I'm not really sure about it.

In my opinion 1992 was weak year in the ESC, but this song was even better than I remembered -wow! Greece had strong entries pretty much trough the whole 90s!

And also Constantinople name was used in Turkish alongside Kostantiniyye, until the early 20th century. We do not need to argue about it. We share many things, food, music, words... A highlight from a relatively average 1992 field, it's my second favorite song from that year, with Rapsodia being the first. It's a thoughtful and powerful song, with ambiguity about what's going on with the world. I've heard this was in response to North Macedonia declaring independence and using the name Macedonia as their country name (a theme which would extend to Pia Prosefhi in 1995); how much of it was influenced by that? That said, the song is great, but the orchestration is what made it shine. It's so delicious, and Cleopatra's dress is to die for.
I feel the main thing related to the northmacedonian issue is the sun of Vergina, which Kleopatra is wearing. The song is related with general worries about the contemporary world . I feel that one of this might be the northmacedonian issue but the song is not focused on it.
