The distrust between Todd and Blair was entirely her fault she took a beautiful relationship albeit it was friendship when she found out he was a Lord.... she kept lying to him about when she became pregnant the 1st time... remember this is when the writers were really great... Todd's trust issues were very deep... made him feel powerless Peter Manning did that to him by scaring Todd's mother off he loved and trusted his mother would protect him from Peter... then he found his whole life was a LIE!! People just kept lying to him over and over again even Sam and Vicky especially in 2001... RH did a great job playing Todd's complex psyche ...
So do I. He has a fearsome temper and he's impulsive and can be irrational. How can she know what he'll do if he gets pissed off. He's taken Starr before and betrayed Blair before.
This is when the writing started going off the rail and steadily got worse and escalated towards the end of 2002 and finally wrecked in 2003 and that is when I stopped watching for nearly 8 years! I have now watched TSJ's portrayal of Todd online around 25 clips 2004 being the most disgusting period! I haven't seen anything that comes even close to RH's Todd which was the best of the best on daytime TV...
katjamendez the constant back and fourth of playing games is stupid. Yes he takes Starr away because of all Blair's lies, if she would tell him the truth and tell him she loves him not Max, Todd then would have what he wants, a family. Why would he have a reason to take the child? He's not that stupid.
But he's very impulsive and even irrational at times and he has a terrible temper. She must wonder what would happen if she pissed him off in some way. He has betrayed her before and taken Starr before.
cont' for all the bitching at Todd for lying many people young and old lie on a regular basis, I mean really I believe Todd actually became more honest than they were... I would get so pissed off at the writers and where they took Todd's character especially after Ireland and the Georgie Phillips story it went all down hill from there....
Blair is trying to make sure that before she tells Todd the truth that no matter what he will love her and the baby and after everything he put her through, by taking starr and by never trusting her she just wants some reassurance. P.S love these Blair and Todd scenes. :)
PUHLEEZE people. todd did way worse things to blair than vice versa. blair has every reason to keep the baby's paternity a secret given that todd keeps taking starr away from her mother ... over and over and over again. i'm just happy that 2011 todd (aka REAL todd) is far more redeemed than he ever was in his other returns. by redeemed i don't refer to the rape, which to me is forever unforgivable. i mean that he is more redeemed in terms of blair. he seems changed towards her.
