The Seahawks fifth round pick from 2023 is primed to rise to a starting role in 2024. Although the Seahawks signed free agent Nick Harris, I think that he will be a backup and Olu will be given the chance to start. In today's video, we will be breaking down his tape and seeing if he is ready for the starting role.

Brown couldn't move anybody, except his facemask buried in the grass. Olu is a superior pass blocker. His run game will improve after a year in the weight room. He was the Remington award winner coming out of college.

Our pass game is gonna be a big upgrade this year after Haynes and a D-line giving the o-line work in practice

A great d line is the key to a great team I think, for the reason you stated. They make the o line better and make the rest of the defense's job easier

I love the breakdowns. I've been looking for a channel that can really breakdown some film. Is this your main focus? If so I'm suoer happy. I just subbed. I'm really excited to see what Coach Grubb will do to get our receivers open at all levels. And also more on the Oline and how he and Coach Huff can get the most from our Oline so we will have a solid ground game as well. If we can run the rock productively, then I really feel like our receivers will have a much more productive season and Geno will shine. If he has the protection and our amazing trio of RBs can soften the defense its a wrap. I'd love nothing more than to have DK and JSN get over 1000 yards each. And even Tyler is a possibility. But even if he had 800 yards and 5+ touchdowns and K9 is a 1000 yard back with Chard adding another 500+. I just really believe this offense has all the tools to be special.

Thanks for the kind words! This isn't my main focus, it's just a hobby that has gotten a little bit out of control 😂. I totally agree with your optimism. @enigma9971 I have been watching Murph for a minute now. He's not even a Hawks fan but he does so much better work than anybody that covers my Hawks. But seeing this channel has given me some glimmer if hope that we have a content creator who has a vision and knows what we need and want and what's going to be educational for a 12 who is looking for Xs and Os content. Most the other channels are full of personal opinions and are not objective based like Top Billin is. I think this channel has the ability to step in that mold and speak to a good portion of the fanbase that wants that type of content.

@The_Legion_of_12s you have a lane that I think will be profitable to you in due time doing breakdowns and getting into the Xs and Os during the season. Film breakdown is lacking unfortunately for our Hawks so seeing you touch on it was really nice. Thank you man and keep up the great work as your hobby continue to grow out of control and becomes something all the more bigger and profitable for you.

That is exactly why I created this channel so I am glad that you appreciate it. There just wasn't as much hawks specific X's and O's content (Samuel gold did a great job but I don't think that channel has been active for a couple of years). I'm glad you appreciate it and thanks for the comments!

Easy top 5 back for me. While watching film I spent so much time just laughing at K9. The things that he does are just absurd. I'll definitely be making a video on him. One of my favorite hawks to watch.

One thing that I noticed about his game was it seemed like he was taking bad angles on LB’s/Safeties. Since he’s not very fast he needs to cut them off rather than running at them. I would also like to see him attack people more in the run/pass game and try and knock guys off the feet rather than getting in the way and trying to out muscle them. I think if he improves in those areas he will be a really solid center in the NFL.

Yeah I think that goes right along with the athleticism thing. He will be able to take better angles as he figures out just how fast NFL players are so you are right that some of that can be improved with better coaching. Couldn't agree more.

Olu and Haynes are going to dominate the NFL. Bradford I really want to love but he took plays off. If he wants to be a good OL he can be.. but not sure the motivation is there.

Great video. Olu will be an improvement over last year and if Christian Haynes is as good as we think, then our offensive line will be much improved over 2023. I can’t wait to see what K-9 can do with a better O-line!

I hope he is ready because there wasn't a team that had as bad an interior o-line in the whole NFL as the Seahawks. We couldn't run up the middle at all with one of the best running backs in the game. The forth down blocking on the last play of the Cincinnati games when the center was little more than a speed bump and the guards didn't help either was it for me. It was an all out sprint to see who could bury poor Geno. Jackson Powers-Johnson would have been my choice but then I remembered we couldn't stop the run either so Murphy will help big time.

That's a really good question. I honestly don't know and I would like to dive into the tape before I give my answer. If I had to guess, I would say that it doesn't really expand. They were trying to convert him to safety so maybe can be a package safety in 2024 but he really feels kinda lost in the shuffle of this defense. I'm hopeful he can contribute more but we will have to see.

Olu was supposedly the top center and last year‘s draft why in the hell did they take him then if they didn’t plan on using him they must’ve saw something in him in last year‘s draft

For sure. I always expected that he would be given a chance to compete, but the hawks literally didn't even bring in serious competition this year so that is all that surprised me. I see what they see on tape so I feel good about him starting but I think most analysts were surprised that we didn't take another shot at a day 3 center.

So what is your main focus with the Seahawks on your channel? Is it defense, offense or just latest on certain players?

That's a good question. My focus is doing film breakdowns on anything Seahawks. Let me know if you have any suggestions for videos but right now I am working on a Mike Macdonald X's and O's breakdown and a video on Riq Woolen. Thanks for watching!

I kinda agree. I think Evan Brown was decent but getting Olu the reps so he can be more prepared for the future.
