I was at there for the last game, sitting in the HI-Boxes with some friends. The Wings were down 4-0 until Danny Bolduc scored with 45 seconds left in the 2nd period. When Joly tied the game with 85 seconds to go, I thought the roof would collapse from the noise. Detroit outshot Quebec 20-2 in the 3rd, and if they had OT back then, I know the Wings would have won it. Just before demolition began, a group of us went in and got seats and other memorabilia. at 7:10 the interview with Mike DesRosisers.....thats the brother of Saginaw Gears legend Dennis DesRosiers from the old IHL days. Olympia was better than JLA in every facet except for the location. I bet if that part of Grand River was safer, Olympia would have survived another decade or two
