Everyone who is gay has their way of expressing themselves. Some go the more feminine direction, others masculine, and of course in between. He is not a cliche. He’s just gay. Stop making feminine gays look bad. Being feminine isn’t a bad thing. Neither is being masculine. But don’t treat him like he’s “overdoing” being gay. It’s who he is. Get over it. He’s not embarrassing, if you are cringing so hard then you must have done these exact things. I’m ashamed of all the people here who have the nerve to say he’s being overdramatic. He isn’t. He’s just being himself. Just because his mannerisms are basely feminine doesn’t mean anything.
How on earth can anyone including Ellen say, Adam was above Hanyu? Any figure skating fan knows Hanyu is head and shoulders above any male skater in history! In history! Hanyu holds every scoring record in ISU skating, including best short, best free skate, and total combine score. He has set world records a dozen times. He is a two time Olympic Champion and only one other skater in Olympic men's figure skating can say that and that was Dick Button some 50 years ago, when quads weren't even dreamed of. What world record has Rippon ever broke? None! When has Rippon ever come close to beating Hanyu? Never! If you ask, any ISU skater, it will be unanimous that Hanyu is the greatest figure skater that has ever lived. To put Rippon in the same class with Hanyu is ridiculous. There are many skaters above Rippon; Chen, Jin, Uno, Fernandez, Chan, etc...And Hanyu is above them, in a class by himself. As the Spanish commentators say, "Welcome to planet Hanyu...population one, only himself!"
He is very diplomatic when he answers that question about gold medal. He knows his skating was no where near the top three, he didn’t have as many jumps. Hanyu was better. Even Nathan Chen was better, even after a disastrous short program.
I like that she added "openly" gay men at the end because, honey, Jake Gyllehaal, Shawn Mendes and Harry Styles are probably the most obvious closet cases in Hollywood right now.

Nah, I think she was just being fair because we have no proof that Harry and Shawn and Jake AREN'T str8. 32 years ago, Ellen was not out, and would have been counted among Hollywood's "str8" actresses. She would not have been considered a "gay woman", even though she is/was, and that would've been incorrect. However, it *would* have been correct to say 'she's not an openly gay person' back then, even if no one had any idea
I absolutely love Adam. He needs more appreciation. I was devastated when I read an article the other day that said he was retiring from being an Olympian.

The person meant to say is that he looked way too masculine (athletic, body built) for what our society sees a "gay" man. It's reality. He's such a sweet guy, he's living his truth and I wish him love and happiness. I see comments on another video were disabled (I can only imagine the negative crap some were posting) and that's a shame. Everyone wants to live their life on their own terms. People who ACTUALLY enjoy and know about figure skating, are very pleased with the gold winner because he worked for it and he deserves it. There's no 'pitty winner', Yuzu is the true champion and you should respect him as well as the rest of the athletes who worked for their medal.
