Boy that bugged me too! Way to make it about the "former" captain. She is only a present olympian athlete. Nothig VIP bout it. Not like SHE is wearing the dress for HER. The groom is important.

But in Australia the rugby team is really something and being the captain of all blacks even I'm impressed

I don't get why they didn't do a premier store in Melbourne, rather picking a store in Sydney from a national chain. Their dresses are mostly about 2-3k and certainly not anywhere near her top budget. I also think the norther hemisphere formula for the show doesn't suit Australia so it seems forced. We don't communicate like that

Same. I don't think I've seen anyone actually buy a dress on the Australian show. They don't listen to what the bride wants at all. Normally brides struggle to find a dress they love because of smaller budgets but on this show large budgets don't even get you a dress.

I was just thinking the same thing and then your comment came by. The last dress was the best dress but I believe Gok would have done way better.

@@lenybouwman5121 and the crazy thing was she had a big budget, first class wedding and they showed her off the rack dresses! I looked her up on Google images, she wore a totally plain, elegant gown and looked stunning!

They were both star-struck!

When it’s the uk version. Monty and gok usually do very well in finding the right gowns

Thank you for this update. I liked the first dress most and thought that the “bling” on the shoulders distracts from the beauty of the dress and fabric and makes the dress look cheaper.

So often young brides think they know what they want, but when they realize they might want a bit more they get confused. This is when a consultant throws in that wild card. I love the cut, but less beading and bling. A diagonal cut silk in palest warm ivory, same silhouette; touches of rich, embroidered lace in an ivory just 2 shades deeper than the body, with the straps positioned exactly the same way as the gown we saw; seed pearls and perhaps a light scattering very small crystals embroidered into the lace to to bring it up from a night gown look… Think 1930s glam. The silhouette and vail were perfect. Pushing a bride just a tad out of her comfort zone can make it exciting. This young lady could be a wedding gown model. Lovely. Lovely, sweet young lady.

They probably tried on a LOT more dresses, but it has to be edited down to fit into a 9 min clip

She did not say no bling. She just wanted classic and timeless.

They were probably wanting to make a sale no matter what. They didn't ask her how she felt in each dress but they tried to tell her how she should feel in them. Too pushy for sure.

I agree, Lancaster and Ireland have the most beautiful dresses.

She's from New Zealand. That is about as far away from Lancashire as you can get.

@@jennifer_artandembroidery it’s a feed or potato sack made out of burlap; most hold 50 lbs of feed or taters. We’re farmers so we have a crap load ton of them.

You could see it on her face with the second dress in particular as she walked out to show everyone that she wasn’t happy with it. There was no smile at all

Laura Griffin, I agree with you. I'm interested in all the different styles, fabrics, etc, But am kind of revolted by the many many gowns which are simply too low-cut or revealing. Those brides look like strippers to me.

The budget mean they can show dresses of ANY price up to 6 to 8 thousand. It doesnt mean you can only have dresses between the 6 to 8 thousand bracket.

A simple satin dress is not going to reach those prices. Dresses with a lot of detail cost more.

this store doesn't sell dresses in her upper price range. Most of them are between 2-3k with a few being 1-2k higher

@@pushpitamazumdar9146 No it doesnt mean that! It means you show the bride dresses based on what she wants eg: bling/lace. The price doesn't come into it at all. The only thing that's important is that it matches the brides specifications

You only want to have to wear one wedding dress, and it has to be right. Nothing wrong with sleeping on it
