@@AndersAntonsen_official i think need a translator for that. Indonesian players speak good enough English, but haven't found Indonesian players that comfortable speaking it on and on for such a long time. Even Tony only got better after he moved to US.
Denmark is one of the countries with the best men's singles players of all time. Paul, Kenneth, Gade, Jan, HKV, Axelsen, and now Antonsen. there is still Rasmus who will still grow to be strong respect from Indonesia
As supportive and lovely as this comment is, I'm pretty sure it's not great consolation to be a star off the court. Anders wants to be a star ON the court (which he will be 💪)
As Indonesian, we love Kevin Cordon but on the other side we hope that Anthony will get the bronze medal. Dont worry Anders we won't be mad at you for being honest 😊😊 My mom even asked " is there a medal for the 4th winner" Coz here we have a special prize for that position too and name them as "Juara Harapan 1" So it's kinda win win solution 👌
Totally agree. I saw many command on Instagram, Indonesian said they really appreciate Kevin Cordon and respect him. But when they know that there is Ginting in bronze medal match, they have to support Ginting but also give respect for Kevin. No we indonesian won't slaughter you due to that statement ahahah Forgive my poor English
Hey Anders and Hans kristian Vittingus your podcasts and vlogs inspire me to keep playing badminton as it gives knowledge about badminton at highest level,it is great to see professional players like both of you to take such initiatives and take out time for us from both of your busy training schedule,i salute both of your works. Please always keep on making such great content.I m a regular viewer of both of your podcasts and vlog.
having opinions, thoughts and feelings from people that play high level professional badminton is underrated in my opinion hope you keep it up ( and you make more content often )
10:45 thats Ginting alright. I watched his semifinal game against Chen Long and he messed up so bad. Shot after shot went out wide. Funny thing is that i think Ginting had more chance against Axelsen in the final. But not bad for first Olympics. You both are still young, there are still many Olympics to come.
Hello Mr Anders! I am 13 years old, and I live in Vietnam. You are my favourite badminton player of all time. I watched your match on my birthday, and I was very sad that you lost, but I have no doubt that at the next Olympics, you will certainly take home the gold! You played brilliantly! Also your sportsman ship after the match was awesome! I practice Badminton daily, and one day I wish to be on your level. Also, I am working on a badminton website. I am dividing it into 3 sectors - the first is about the origin of badminton, the second about my website, and the third is about modern badminton and badminton players - more specifically, you! So if you could please give me a small quote, it would truly make my day. And my month. And probably, my year. Thank you for being an inspiration!
Asian Leg will be held in Nusa Dua, located in ITDC (Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation) is super elite area. It will held in The Westin Nusa Dua ballroom and it has own private beach. ITDC also has international hospital
Hi Anders, looking forward to the next podcast and vlog. love the intense training, the humour and that Grammy winning voice. (Please sing Dancing Queen again for the fans! 🤣) Best of luck for the rest of the year. My question: What do you look for when choosing your racket, and does your sponsor Victor approach you often to try new stuff? 🤞I hope my question gets picked . P.s. HK your hair is on point 👍👍
Both of you are great player with big heart. And as you thought, you always got special place in Indonesian badminton lovers. BTW, where is Jorgensen? we miss him tho 😀🙏🙏👍👍
@@cwithmads2259 tapi baru pengalaman pertama jadi wajar sih kalau mainya belum in betul, mungkin di 2024 bisa jadi calon gold medal kuat sama Jojo,Ginting, dll
Hey Anders and HKS-V, i have suggestion for your podcast, you should invite another Badminton Player to be Guest Star, like Jan, Peter Gade, or even Poul Erik Hoyer himself. Talking about funny moment, hardest moment, or anything in their career. And you can asked the guest star to bring one of his/her jersey to be hanged and displayed on the wall. Sorry for my broken english. Love from Indonesia.
Corrections for Jasper and Hans, Joko Widodo is not the prime minister of Indonesia. He is the president of Indonesia. While the prime minister of Indonesia, he goes by the name of Luhut Pandjaitan.
Hey Anders Antonsen, you are a very good player which I try to mimic your game, I am even switching to victor racquet because of you , but one question I have to you why don't you smash more especially with your height it can be an advantage to you . I woke up early to watch your match and i am saying to myself if you had smashed in certain rallies you could have won.
Hey Anders please don't cut your hair, it looks good on you. I hope you would do really well in upcoming tournaments. All the best! Hey Hans-Kristian, well you don't look like you are 35, still looks young and fit and I love when you share old stories and experiences. All the best to you too. You two are doing well together! Looking forward for more content. Love from Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 ✌️❤️
@@yekti_inter4🎶 Everything will be alright if Anders keep HK next to him. 🎶 My goodness a fellow Swiftie here.Took a minute to realize where that lyrics came from.LOL!🤭❤️🔥🔥🔥I can't stop laughing now.😍✌️😂🙏🙏
Hej! Udara. Sorry has just read this again. Yess most fav is blank space 😘 Come on better if we contact personal. Find me at i g with same name. Nothing left to hide 🤗
The badminton experience ep. 5 was great!!! You shall start the experience with hello guys this is favourite badminton player and beside me sits H K Vittinghus (with a reaction ✌️hey whats uppp). I will be waiting for the next episode
Actually i don’t listen to podcast because i’ve tried it once but it seems really bored. U guys podcast are amazing i feel interested instead of being bored tho. Hopefully to see you in the next tournaments and new video on youtube
First a question then comment: Question for both: Does having so many big tournaments in a row dilute the experience of watching the big players: An example is if Viktor Axelson played only 3 times a year would it make each game more of a spectacle. Comment: Can we have a specific Channel for the Badminton experience this just seems confusing.
That may be true, but I think creating hype for matches shouldn't take precedence over playing badminton in the first place. It'll be quite difficult for players if they only got a few matches every year, because tournament experience is necessary to prepare for the final stellar performances in finals and such. This is ofc my take on it I may be wrong
@@sumiranmaiskar Good points. I would counter by saying that it would evolve a different skillset due to not having matches to build confidence it becomes much more high stakes (you are only as good as your last match), meaning that players with the ability to handle this sort of high-pressure game would bubble to the top. I also think of it from a commercial standpoint; if I am a fan and I don't watch AA or Vittinghus play this week, I can wait for next week. But if they play so rarely, watching them play is an event in itself. Then comes injuries and getting tired. The competitive heavy calendar takes a toll on performance, let alone playing multiple games per tournament. When we get to the final, this begs the question: is the winner the BEST player or the player that had the less tiring draw? Also, would it expand the time players can play? And finally, you could have matchups that don't depend on the draw. I could go on for hours :D But would like AA and Vittinghus opinion on this.
@@globalbadmintonnetwork9452 Hmm. That's an interesting take. I think a place where it'll not work is actually letting in new talent. If you play the best in the world against each other thrice a year and that's it, it'll have no openings for up and coming players to make an impact, slowly getting to the top of the rankings. I would think they wouldn't be for this kind of a format, though, because while it may help the popularity of the sport by adding monumental hype to matches, I seriously think that these players like to play badminton and like to win. The reason they choose which tournaments to play is to focus on the ones that may provide them with a better chance at the win and to conserve energy. Fewer, more high stakes matches a year would really change the way the athletes train and approach the sport, leading to maybe a more viewer-biased experience (very competitive). To be honest I am half sure that Anders and Hans-Kristian will agree with me here, because the pandemic was a period of time where they played far fewer matches than usual, with high stakes tournaments like the All England, and look at how relieved they are about finally having a tour schedule ahead of them. While your proposal may enhance the popularity of badminton as a spectator sport, it most likely will take away from the essence and spirit of playing badminton itself, something "we love to do" in Anders' words, and you'll be taking that away from the players who are almost infinitely passionate about the game itself. They wouldn't appreciate it if the only stages to display their talent and win were a mere 75-100 matches in their career (considering a 15 year career with 5 matches a year or 20 year career with 4 a year) That's what I think, but it'll definitely be interesting to hear from them, if they find your idea good overall. Lastly, I think your idea will result in the most clutch/lucky player winning the match. Statistically, the average performance of a player is obviously better determined when the sample space of matches is larger. The current BWF world rankings in my opinion give a relatively fair idea of the best current badminton players in the world, simply because the BWF considers hundreds upon hundreds of matches per player and then ranks them, giving you possibly the most unbiased view of the relative standings of some of the best in the world. A setup with three matches a year will not allow that kind of a large amount of tries, not giving you the most skilled player but maybe the most mentally strong and also quite skilled player.
@@sumiranmaiskar Great explanation. I will try to answer your points. First new talent, this would be done similar to Boxing and MMA you come up with by playing more frequently in less hyped games and through challenges. Similar to boxing, there would still be a ranking, and not everyone is number one. There could even be a hybrid model that we keep the current setup for players to come up the ranks and make it into the hyped, more lucrative matches. Tournament choice is not entirely theirs BWF mandates them to participate in a certain number of tournaments depending if it's a Superseries 1000 or 750. Current players' thoughts... they can only answer for themselves, the scenario is completely different. Yes, they love badminton, but it would be a different world... They would afford training camps that don't exist now, hire retired players to be training partners or other top players. The whole business aspect changes. The other topics I agree with you. The games would favor clutch players, and you could have a (in theory) a better player but can't perform on the big stage. Maybe the answer isn't a single model approach but the hybrid model. I would also love to hear from the BWF why this doesn't seem appealing to them. *Also lets upvote this discussion so they have the conversation on the next podcast.
Hey Antonsen, It was your first Olympics don't worry as Lindan also fail in his first Olympics.I think you will be the greatest badminton player in future. [Just believe in yourself].
I was really hoping that you guys would explain the red and white dolls behind you.......if u do read this pls explain the situation with those in the next episode 🖤✌🏻
who is the owner of this channel? lol.... AA is more like the guest, I think after the match you should ask for indomie like Hans did, lol. greeting from Indonesia
How to recover from this situation= I lose semifinals of badminton tournament in my area . I can win it easily but what happened to me at that time I don't know and I am very upset of me for that match which I lost. After two days I saw at the closing ceremony the winner getting the check(prize) at that movement I felt very down 😭😭😭😭😭. Just like you when you lost to ginting at Olympics and you saw axelson getting medal. I konw this is a big comment but the situation is also tooo big for me and you. Can you solve this situation for me???? Love from India (Soumya)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really hope to se you (two) playing at the french open in october 2021 ! Anders, I think you are true when you want to attack more ; but attacking more means more physical ressources, no ?
I can feel you Anders. Ginting not play in his best and made tons of error i never seen from him before. A lot of wide cross court and a lot of wrong judgement of long ball. I have been tell my self that he will not able to beat CL in semis if he cant get his normal even though he had defeat CL for the last 7 encounter. He is very lucky to win the game against you. I wish you have a better games ahead but not wish you win against Ginting..
18:00 even though I am Indonesia but I also feel the same way what a vittinghus said 😂 36:20 What the hell.. How can you don't know little history about Thomas Cup & Uber Cup come on Antonsen😂
Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoy your videos. But... why didn't you include a picture of Chen Long in the front page of this video while all three other players that made it to the semi-final has been included. No offense...just asking out of curiosity... as a fan from China.
I think it's because they talked mostly about the 3.... Kevin Cordon because he was the big surprise of the Olympics, Ginting because he was the one who beat Anders in the quarterfinal and Viktor being a fellow Dane who won the gold.
@@Hammerhook12 that is exactly why. But it also shows well how Chen Long often is a little underappreciated compared to how incredible results he has. He does not get the credit he deserves in my opinion.
Why is it not answered about the opinion of cardboard beds in Tokyo Olympic Village, supposedly designed to prevent casual sex (a hugely popular pastime for Olympic athletes)???
I saw the match. You need to be more offensive, smash more, much more. Most of time, you choose to drop instead of smash when you have chance. It's very rare you can win by drops at top level. As tall as you are, you must smash as much as Axelsen does. That's the big difference between your game and his
