Hi, Cool project, I like it. It seems to me, that you don't have shutoff valve on pump? and how did you do with it start working? This plastic tubes with orings are very annoying for me... Greetings
I know this is electronic pump. But I don't see shut-off valve (electronic) on your pump. I wonder why and how? I have OM606 with electronic IP too, and I have shut-off valve. You don't have fuel lines on little fuel pump on injection pump and fuel filter base from OM603, right? Can you tell me more about it?
Ok I first thought you mean vacuum shut off. Yes fuel tempsensor/shutoff valve is removed and there is adapter to banjo bolt like older om603 pump has. Stock lift pump is removed, it is temporary fit in video, I have blocking plate instead of lift pump now. I use electric Bosch 044 pump. Old 603 filter housing is without plastic and rubber fittings, much better and no extra pipes for fuel thermostat.
Recently I bought OM603 filter housing and I preparing to change all plastic lines with orings to banjo bolt with copper seals which never leaks... Now that you don't have shut-off valve, how engine is swtiched off, or any errors on ecu? Maybe you have some pictures of this modification? It would be very helpful.
This is actually not engine shut off valve, it's fuel blocking for immobilizer. Engine is shutting down with pump electronics not with this valve. I have this engine on old w202 chassis with standalone DSL1 ecu, not sure how it works on stock car.
Is this ecu still an option if swapping just engine over into a car? What do I need all from donor car? Meaning. What is needed for this ecu? Throttle position sensor? Throttle linkage? Where does the injection pump plug into?
You need throttle position sensor and boost sensor, temp and rpm sensor are connected from engine loom. Pump plug goes to ecu. All information and manual are here: controls.is/dsl1.html
