LOVED Henry Doorly...Best zoo ever!

Wait a minute, you went to the Henry Doorly Zoo and didn't visit the Lied Jungle! Unthinkable....The largest indoor rainforest in the US, it's an amazing exhibit.

Awesome video. Glad you had a good time at the Omaha Zoo. I grew up not far from the zoo and it has completely transformed from a large but basic zoo to a world class attraction over the past 30 years. Omaha is very fortunate to have a very generous philanthropic community that helped make the zoo what it is today. I agree that they need more food options in the back of the park, but it's actually a lot better than it used to be. I think the zoo is still having staffing issues hence most of the snack shops are closed. Too bad you missed my favorite exhibit, the Lied Jungle.

Been to zoos all over the world and this is my favorite. The spaces are so clean and large, most animals look healthy and happy, the landscaping is gorgeous trees, flowers, and the people are laid back midwestern. I wish all zoos to Stay organic-away from too much artificial noises/features--we peeps are NOT wanting a VIRTUAL experience despite the "agenda" for digital life.

fun facts: Omaha is one of only 4 zoos in the US to display Perentie (Dallas, Los Angeles, and Iguanaland are the others). They are also the only zoo in the country to display a King Brown Snake

As a life long Omaha resident pro tip to our Zoo pack your lunch and snacks they totally allow it! ❤ They even have picnic areas you can sit and rest! I'm so glad you liked our Zoo despite the food. But if you buy anything from the zoo gift shop food ect... goes right back into our animals and their environments nments 😊 also they put them inside to get a break and the inside enclosures are also storm shelters for them.

Great to see footage of the Insect Pavilion... my favourite! 52:14 those precious flower beetles are the highlight, also the yellow-bellied "furry" beetles and giant white cockroaches🦋🪲🪳! Too cute!

Just gettomg bacl from SAN to CHS and it was EVERYTHING and so much more, we have to come back I thank you guys so much you have no idea how much your channel has helped me out with planning our trip to San DIego! I am sure you started doing this for memories and it's what you love but at the same time it has helped others. Keep filming I can see this channel multiplying in numbers soon!

Loved your video, the train , Gorillas, and Giraffes are my favorite, we often go and then go into the IMAX before we leave to watch a film and to get cooled off.

Omaha zoo looks awesome. Now that is a zoo. Love the exhibits and that Dome so cool. I specially liked there Sea Lion exhibit. And there sky ride over animals. But lack of food is bummer. Overall I would go in heartbeat. Great vlog. 👍

You missed the Lied Jungle, its the world's largest indoor rain forest! Its one of the best attractions in the zoo.

Personally I feel the Aquarium and Lied Jungle are the highlight. Although, a desert Dome is pretty unique.

Hey, Trevor. You were right about the pricing at Seaworld, almost each regular item or food item is over 20-30 dollars. But the blue slushy was worth it, I needed something cool and good. I really enjoyed the dolphin and orca shows, as long as the animals are treated fairly with care

There might not be great food options, but they let you bring you’re own food and drinks!

Dear SoCal Disney Dad, I love your videos they are a passage to a world very far away for me, but one that I enjoyed tremendously the few times I have visited. North America is one of my favorite destinations for zoos, probably even higher than Europe. As a foreigner, I do have to admit that I find your obsession with food in zoos and parks extremely peculiar and even amusing. I have visited 479 different zoos and parks that include zoological exhibitions in most continents and have to admit that food is the last thing on my mind when I'm these institutions. I'm truly sorry that your experience in the amazing Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo went poorly on account of food choices. Zoos in general are not really the best places to find quality food, it is usually overpriced to a degree that redefines the meaning of tourist trap. In any case as you travel with small children I can certainly understand you prioritizing finding food, a good tip would be to bring your own food (homemade sandwiches) to the park and be able to enjoy them to its full potential. In my own experience I can share with you that the best food of any zoo I have ever experience is in Europe, more specifically Central European nations of Germany, Austria etc. Japan and Singapore were both in a different league when it comes to food in their parks and would definitely recommend Singapore to you as it is currently the premiere destination for Wildlife theme parks in the planet, a must for someone like you. I was quite surprise that you missed some of the highlights of Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo in your video, a true shame I must say. The Lied Jungle, is the US largest indoor rainforest exhibit, and one of the finest of its kind in the world, a truly magnificent exhibition that takes you around many tropical ecosystems in the world. I was in even bigger shock that their newest exhibition the State of the Art Asian Highlands was also not shown or talked about in the video. Also absent was Hubbard Expedition Madagascar, a fantastic exhibit dedicated to Madagascar, and only second in its class to the Bronx and Zurich Zoo. Lastly the The Berniece Grewcock Butterfly and Insect Pavilion is the highlight of many families with small children and it is sad that you miss it as well. Hope you can make a second visit to this great zoo and if you ever need any tips about a specific zoo, just let me know. Cheers.
