The signing of the peace treaty for 2024 elections does not mean that the parties are not going to complain or challenge wrong doings at the elections. It simple means the party would seek amicable and right approach to resolve their differences. The claim of lives in the last elections in Ghana was uncalled for. It is unfortunate that such lives were lost, however we should critically examine in detail what led to those fatal circumstances. We know what happened on January 6 revolt and attack in the USA Capitol. Five policemen died. They wanted peaceful resolution of the riot. They wanted to save the lives of others. Eventually they lost their own lives. Every life including the law enforcement is precious. The people in uniform must be respected. Their orders and warnings must be taken seriously. They have very little time to assess and decide of the appropriate action to take. It is risky for anyone to put his life at danger in such situation. And nobody by any circumstances should encourage any person to be reckless and careless in such a dangerous condition.
