OMEGA updated the Speedmaster Moonwatch clasp to now have a Micro Adjustment just like on the Omega Chronoscope and Omega Moonshine watches! BIG news for Speedy fans! #shorts #shortsmas
@@acolour I don’t think he is. I adjusted my bracelet yesterday, and again this morning. I think I’ll have to tighten it again this evening after I do cardio. It’s SO helpful
@@bushpig6837 then you should check out the Mido Ocean Star, it has one of the most unique on the fly adjustable bracelets out there, and in a matter of days I will have the grey textured dial version.
I can’t understand how this is not a standart on every bracelet tbh. Even a 900€ Mido has this feature and I’ve to use it constantly for a perfect fit. So I’am happy Omega introduced it as well!
I'm inclined to believe it's a cost saving measure for the big brands, unfortunately. I think the smaller brands utilize it as one of their major selling points.
my zelos that cost €400 has it. You can buy clasps from China that do this for pennies. Big companies want to save it for the expensive watches and the microbrands can't afford custom machined parts in most cases
If you realized the Bible is the single most accurate and truthful historical recording of the past with 40 authors who wrote down accounts of Christ 40 years after His death compared to the historical accounts made 400 years after Alexander the Great died you perhaps would be more thankful to be alive
@@abhi211-T well yeah but religion seems to make life even moreso worth loving since even the Quaran acknowledges that Jesus is our savior :). All the bible is is a historical recount of the past, it's not a fictional religion. All major historians acknowledge Jesus walked the earth; there's no disputing that
The fact that it took so long for so many models to have these adjustments it’s wild. For anyone who wears watches in all conditions and all occasions that feature is pure gold.
Exactly why I like to wear my breitling over my other watches is cause of that small adjustment on the clasp. So throughout the day if my wrist swells or shrinks cause I’m outside or inside I can adjust it for comfort. Glad to see omega hopping on the train.
Man I love your content bro. You’re the soley main reason why I want to be more informed with the watch game. Ur videos make it easy for someone like me that doesn’t know much about watch to understand a lot
@@emphasis20 Clasp and bracelets are the main downfalls of Seiko and Grand Seiko, which is not excusable for such an otherwise omnipotent watch company, especially in the case of GS. Additionally, would be good to see a reduction in size of GS watches. Snowflake is huge for what it is, and GS divers are unnecessarily big, thick and bulky. I would like to also see a Radio Controlled watch from GS. They could learn a thing or two from Casio's Oceanus range.
This was the last thing I was waiting for for it to be the perfect daily watch! I use my quick adjust daily so was unsure about speedy as a daily if it did not have a quick adjust!
Something that I noticed on my Sea Wolf from Zodiac that I never once read or heard being mentioned EVER one of the links, that connects the to the top of the clasp has a spring. So it has like 2 cm of elasticity. Very minor but does make a difference! I find it odd that companies will omit that from their descriptions
It was a much needed update. Came out towards end of last year. It was one of the reasons I finally gave in and bought the new Speedmaster Pro earlier this summer for my 40th birthday 🥳!
The thing about bracelets is that nobody even forstner has as good quality as the swiss. So the bracelets really need to be exceptional, and otf micro adjustment is crucial.
It’s not just the moon pro. My speedmaster race has the micro adjuster as well. My consultant at the Geneva boutique showed me how it works. Nice feature. Definitely not a deal breaker
Lol makes me want a new moon watch!!!! Love that concept especially if your in the north were you go outside watch shrinks on your wrist then you go inside and your wrist expands from the heat/cool cycle totally worth it!!!
As a former owner of a 1863 Sapphire Sandwich which l sold in April ‘22. One of the dealbreaker of buying a new version is that it is more expensive than my Submariner 124060. Ain’t no way a Speedy is worth more than the Sub. I have tried on the new micro adjustment - it doesn’t have enough increments but it’s a welcome addition nonetheless.
I have been telling people about the micro adjustment in reddit, found it in the SMP 300 when I got it in last June and thought everyone knew about it already. Looks like it's a new change
This was such a monumental breakthrough for fine watch makers that I won't even consider a new watch purchase that doesn't come standard with a Mico adjustment slider.
Actually useful asf because your body literally bloats up and then tightens up throughout the day… it’s good for people who are really muscled out too because that slight change is insanely noticeable for them.. like how people wake up taller and then will be shorter when they goto sleep
I much prefer adjustment mechanisms that can be activated without taking the watch off. Like Citizen (which had the OG ratcheting clasp like this I believe) and Mido/Certina does them.
This is the only part I need to make my moonwatch complete. My wrist swells up and down way more than the standard/average wrist. However if this part costs silly money I’ll just keep storing my sim key in my wallet and use that to adjust my micro-adjust. Many thanks for the clip bro 💚
I was actually thinking of buying a Rolex within next few years but now that Rolex has added this I’m seriously considering buying one within next few days, I just hope they don’t sell out because of this awesome upgrade❗️👌👌👌
Deal breaker? No. Deal maker? If I were considering a new Speedy Pro, then absolutely yes. The only way it could be any better is if they had the full dive watch “push” button extension to give even more micro adjustments. But this is certainly welcome. It’s basically Omega’s version of Rolex’s EasyLink 5mm extension. Glad Omega finally started offering this.
Had a speedy before as well as a sub with glidelock. I sold the speedy first because of the comfort issue. If it’s not vintage, I wouldn’t buy a watch without a comfort adjustment setting.
The classic omega speedmaster Professional may go for 8k but we all know it’s a unit of a watch, great design great work, a lovable piece foe every collection
Ive never worn a micro adjustment, but I prefer leather because it's actually secure. If I could sneak an extra ¼ inch out of a steel bracelet I would definitely be interested.
It’s things like this that make Omega my favorite all around brand. But have different colored bezels And paying over retail is your thing… Then Rolex is for you!
So upset….I haven’t had my speedmaster for a year….and now they add this feature! It was literally the only thing the bracelet needed to be PERFECT….actually considering buying a new bracelet, just to be able to have this feature 😂😂😂
The problem is the new bracelet with the micro pusher, has less of a taper in is far more bulky than the newer bracelet without the pusher. In addition, the clasp itself is much thicker and bulkier as well.
1) I meant to say DEAL MAKER 😂 thank you for all 82744839 comments for Point that out 2) READ more about the CLASP update from Fratello, hope this helps! www.fratellowatches.com/updated-bracelet-for-the-omega-speedmaster-professional-3861/
That is the best update any watch can have especially if you’re a person that wears your watch at work I’m a paramedic and my wrist gets super sweaty in the summer and watch without that expanding band sucks Now since I got this,This is one of the features I look for on every watch from now on.
Thanks for the update my friend.. I'm a huge fan of your channel and love the way you inform and describe watch content.. as for Omega, it was about freaking time they did this upgrade.. it was the only thing holding me back from buying one. Let's see if Santa puts one under my Christmas tree 🙏🎄.. Happy Holidays!! 🎁⌚️😃👍
Why would it be a deal breaker when they added a feature? I don't know with you but I live in a tropical country and my vintage Datejust makes my wrist tired with all the wrist expansion going on
I’m not a watch person, like at all. I’m a gun person and even watches are too expensive for my taste so no shot I’d even think about buying this however I do wear a Apple Watch everyday and the thought of being able to relieve just a little bit of pressure on the wrist whenever I wanted to whilst still keeping the watch in place is quite genius.
