It's not exactly pure. They had to modify her to be female. Jango is male, and the reason why there's an unmodified clone was for to be his son.

I think we was referring to 22 autosomes as omega would have this chromosomes taken strait form Jango. And 23 pair they swapped Y for X to get female clone.

It’s interesting that Omega is the second unmodified clone. But the fact that she’s a female meant that the Kaminoans had slightly modified the chromosomes of Jango’s genetic code in order to create Omega. As for her appearance, we should think back to Boba and the other clones, all had dark hair which was a dominant trait within Jango’s DNA. But as for Omega, she possesses blonde hair which is actually a recessive trait that Jango had, but it’s a dominant trait in his older sister, Arla. The Kaminoans not only slightly modified the chromosomes, but they looked deeper into the genetic makeup of Jango Fett. It’s almost like Omega was some sort of experiment involving chromosome modification and digging deeper into the recessive traits of the template.

A couple of things in this scene: 1) Welcome back, Tech. I see you're back to your job as mouthpiece of the writers that you went on leave since episode 7. 2) Knowledge of how the clones were created should not be easily accessible, especially with this kind of detail. One assumes Tech hacked the Kaminoans off-screen, but this is done so many times with other topics (inhibitor chips, Rex MIA presumed dead) that his meme phrase of "I thought that was obvious" is IMO a reference to Point 1 3) I'm not familiar with Star Wars tech, but is it possible to do an in-depth genetic scan of someone without a sample? And if a sample is needed, where did Tech get Omega's? Are we calling back to Episode 1, where Qui-Gon surreptitiously took Anakin's blood sample for a MC count?

There could be another explaination of why Omega is female. *Putting on my Tech helmet" Perhaps for long term purposes a female can retain a pure sample of DNA longer then a male one. And they mature faster then males do. Experiences shape your DNA too. That's why Omega was so sheltered for so long. It's easier to say keep track of a little girl then it is a boy. Plus a girl is more likely to follow orders from an authority figure. A boy thrives on rebellious attitudes. Even Luke with his good ol farm boy attitude was a bit a rebel toward his Aunt and Uncle. Look at how much trouble Boba got into early in his bounty career. Omega is kind, sweet, and innocent. Not something I would associate with Jango Fett. Boba on the other hand is aggressive and strong-headed. Omega is also loyal to a fault too. Something young girls tend to do. Swapping the X and Y could be a ploy to keep their specimen docile without genetic manipulation and if nessacary she is female and has the ability to make another sample if need be. I hate to bring that up but it's always a possibility. Kominoians are not shy on how they treat the life forms they created and their emotional awareness is almost non existent so if you think they are above using Omega as breeding stock to preserve Fett's DNA...think again. Genetics are not the defining factor of gender. Outside forces within the conception process play into it hence we have gender reveal parties later in the pregnancy term. It can easily be manipulated without corrupting the overall code associated with Fett.

Assuming they were created around the same time, Omega was probably nearly the same age as Boba, code-named Alpha by the Kaminoans. Boba was considered to be equivalent to 12 at the start of the Clone Wars, which lasted approximately 3 years. Ergo, when she (formally) met the Bad Batch on Kamino, Omega was probably around 14-15 years old tho I admit she looks and seems younger than that, like 12 or 13. Still, Omega has clear memories of Nala Se working on the Bad Batch and she sorta confirmed she's their... older sister, chronologically speaking that is. Assuming she didn't experience infantile amnesia, to have clear memories of Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair, Omega must have been... I'm thinking around 4 years old. As for her gender, technically speaking, humans are by default programmed to be female, but that can change around the second month of development if the developing fetus gets enough androgens to offset the estrogens, which causes the fetus to turn male instead of female. As Tech put it, Omega is a pure genetic replication of Jango Fett. Yes, Jango was a man, but like I said, humans start female with the potential of becoming male around the first two months of the pregnancy. Ergo, as a _pure_ genetic replication, that resulted in Omega being female instead of male. Boba was male becuz Janga requested a son in addition to his payment from the Kaminoans and Dooku. Even so, I can't be certain as to Omega's exact age or even when she was "born". I'm just trying to make sense of it with what I was able to gather, based on what evidence we could find regarding her origin.

This is what I’ve been saying that Omega was a heavily modified clone. Which is why she was female. But I did not expect that she was 100% genetic replica of Jango that would mean that the Kaminoans have a fresh DNA sample to recreate gen 1 Clone troopers which were superior to the Imperial clones with deteriorating DNA, which is kinda fucked up, but still mind blowing

All of the clones in the Star Wars franchise came from Jango Fett, a bounty hunter, which explains things. Also, it would be cool to have many female clones in the series.

Right at the start of the Clone Wars the Kaminoans got a seat at the senate. They were the most important members of the republic during the wars, since they provided the soldiers of the grand army of the republic. And sudenly, it wasn't anymore necessary more clones. As we seen in The Bad Batch, the Empire started to train new humans to become stormtroopers and din't order new clones from the vert beggining. Omega was the Kaminoans contingency to create new Fett Clones with deemed necessary by them to protect themselves from the Empire. This arc already exist at legends, whem the Kaminoans created new clones and rebelled.

The Caminoans liked the idea of a clone with no mods, so for a safety measure they made Omega along with Boba(Alpha) as a backup supply in case shit hits the fan.

Genetically speaking, it is totally possible to create a female clone from a male original. But there is no way to create male clones from a female without inducing foreign Y-chromosomes. So I still have no idea what purpose Omega is supposed to have. You can not create pure Jengo Fett clones from her DNA. But you can from Boba's. So why didn't the Camenoans create a second Boba instead of Omega? Any ideas or theories?

This isn't a surprise we all knew she was a clone of Jango. There was even info floating around that Omega was made too look like Jangos sister. But knowing that's she's unmodified is kind of disappointing bc I was sure she was a super-soldier clone with all the abilities of the Bad Batch packed into one body. A sort of Super Clone that would serve as a template to creat the next generation of Kaminoan Soldiers. The reason she's female is bc she would be harder to spot and blend in. And instead of millions. The number would be around a hundred or even fifty to maintain discretion.

Omega, is the first genetic pure clone female, like Boba Fett, Boba have a unchanged sister and for Jango an unchanged daughter, now there's a surprised. No wonder she is so vital to the kamino operation, and why her mentor Nala was so protective and why there's a bounty on her head. She's and Boba are the only clones that have the original dna of their original doner, they need their DNA to continue their cloning operation, and since Boba disappeared while hiding from the Republic/Empire until hiring and never return to Kamino, Omega is the only unchanged clone known to track down. All the pieces are starting to come together. A first generation, FEMALE, clone, a group of independent but highly valuable males, not everything is clear, but omega is important, and the bad batch were intended to be tied to her as protectors. That leaves one question unanswered, what is nala se's game?

So, will the Kamino Rebellion be canon now?

If Omega ever shows up in live action as an adult, it should be Temura Morrison in a blond wig.

An easy explanation as to why Omega is female is simply that the Kaminoans want to have a lot of samples available for the purpose of mass-producing clones. By the time of the clone wars the Kaminoans have basically perfected the process of cloning Jango Fett into an army of soldiers, but we can assume they didn't always have an airtight cloning process just because of how practical science and the R&D process works. Omega is likely female just because it helps to have a XX chromosome version of Jango Fett around in case the Kaminoans run into any issues throughout their continued mass-production of clones. In fact, it would be realistic for the Kaminoans to have a bunch of unique altered clones just for testing purposes. This is similar to car or tech companies. Before a big car company puts a new sports car on the market they make a bunch of unique prototypes just to make sure the final product is working as intended.

So Boba Fett has a sister? I hope this isn't a one-and-done type deal.
