Beautiful video, Dimitri. As I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate the innovation, refinement, complexity and craftsmanship of mechanical watch movements, and Omega makes some of the best. This video will be relevant 50 years from now.

Excelente trabajo, pulcro y con cariño. Hace dos días llevé para quitar un eslabón de la pulsera, la chica que realizó la tarea abrió sin mi consentimiento el reloj ya que la tapa nunca se había abierto nunca y tenía marcas y la tapa girada, después de recogerlo cuando llegué a casa me di cuenta que ahora cuando lo agito para "cargarlo" suena mal y se queda atascado. Mañana iré en persona a la tienda y pedir una explicación. Ojalá hubiera profesionales en mi ciudad como tú, se ve que te apasiona tu trabajo. Un saludo y buen vídeo

This format is pretty useful as a guide, kinda works like a life action oil chart! Would love to see a 2824 or some other common calibers

Edit: I see you didn’t point out the oils that were used in each step. Either way - a good reference vid and incredible camera work. Like some of he best I’ve seen on RU-vid

Yes, on the balance complete there is a regulator. But it may also be that that will not help and that the timepiece needs maintenance.

If your Speedy is running a minute fast every day then more than likely it’s magnetized and or needs service right away. Mine is +5 seconds a day right now.

Hello! I wondered having seen this video if it's possible to swap watch faces on analogue watches of the same style? I have a fossil watch whose face is a mushroom colour, and I'd like to replace the face with a deep brown version from another watch which is the same size and the same style from the same brand. Is this kind of thing easily doable, and would I be able to contact someone who could do it? I live in N. Ireland. Thank you

How does this stack up against a Daytona? Well that is a silly comparison really, like people trying to compare Mercedes and Red Bulls or whatnot. There is one important difference though - you can go and buy a Speedmaster right now if you desire one. You can't buy a Daytona while Rolex are playing silly games with their supply to the public. Rolex are overpriced, and they are that price because fools exist who happily pay the fee knowing they are being ripped off.

ah yes rolex is just a expensive status symbol really its quality but expensive - much better price quality ratio out there on this watch for example

The Rolex Daytona comparison is certainly justified as NASA also tested the pre-Daytona ref. 6238 with a Valjoux 72 movement. In the end, NASA opted for the Omega Speedmaster 105.003 with the Lemania-based Cal. 321. The good doctor’s video depicts the later ref. 145.022, equipped with a somewhat de-engineered Cal. 861. This is a lovely movement indeed, but the Cal. 321 was superior. Regardless, NASA wasn’t looking for an automatic chronograph for obvious reasons and both the El Primero and 7750 were forthcoming. I have to disagree regarding the quality of the Daytona movements however. The Zenith-based Cal. 4030 was a horological masterpiece and set a benchmark by which automatic chronographs are judged to this day. The current in-house developed Cal. 4130 to a lesser extent. Nonetheless, these watches are by no means being snatched up by fools that are knowingly being ripped off. These timepieces still represent an excellent value, even at their prevailing prices. It’s easy to criticize Rolex, but perhaps it’s even easier to criticize Omega and Swatch Group for their marketing practices.
