Review of the Omega Speedmaster Triple Date (3220 50 00) 40mm This is an awesome variation of the legendary Omega Speedmaster line. It has the three date complication and is a chronometer certified watch. Stunning piece!
Yo también lo acabo de comprar de un vendedor profesional de Tokio en Chrono24 ,estoy feliz ,me llega en 15 dias . Parece que los japoneses cuidan mucho sus piezas. 👍
Thanks for your review! I purchased the watch after going back and forth between this reference and the Speedmaster reduced and ultimately went this route because of the Sapphire crystal, 40mm case size, 100 meter water resistance and Chronometer certification, all of which are not on the reduced model. Thank you for helping me make the best decision!
Hello Dave, I have had this watch on my radar for about a year and finally purchased it and anxiously awaiting its arrival. What a huge bang for the low cost. Thanks for your excellent review.
@@williammacleod9108 hello, this speedmaster is a major bang for buck. The only issue that I've found is that the rotor is noisy and the crown is a little small for me. But overall it is very impressive for such a low cost. I purchased it in Japan so some risk was involved with condition. Fortunately it came in beautiful condition. No regrets.
I have the earlier version. My bracelet is identical to the one shown here. Personal tastes, I prefer the black/white contrast. For those that say it's too small, the original speedmasters that were NASA certified for space travel, were 39mm, same as this watch. I have a 7.25" wrist and it fits and looks fine. I don't find it at all too small. Different strokes I guess. Nice video, thanks for posting.
Great review mate. What a stunning watch. I had no idea these even existed. The complications along with auto winding and the decent prices means this is probably my next purchase
Note : the one you have in the video is a chronometer better than ones the same model which isn't chronomter you can notice that on dial underneath Automatic printing, for the service , bro it isn't easy to service 😅 it is chronograph + triple date so it is need to be serviced by professional and experienced watchmakers
Glad I found your vid I was looking for a closer look on this watch. Agreed it's kind of under value, personally I find these more aesthetically pleasing and balanced than the moonwatches. I'm now pondering between this and the 3513.50, to end my moonwatch craving since 42mm will just never fit. Although I like the steel colored bezel and the overall look on the 3513 better, do you know the release year of this 3220 and I suppose it's running with a better 7750 based? Since I'm looking into the used market for these. Thanks
Hi, glad you found the video helpful. The 3220 was first released in 2007 - the previous version 3520.50 or MK40 was released in 1993 but the 3220 is much more refined with a far superior bracelet and caseback. It really is a marvellous watch and the perfect size. I think it will really satisfy your craving for the Moonwatch, especially this one with the black bezel. It feels very special 👍
I have a professional speedy coax now but looking to buy one of these triple date. Do u know if this the only combo for this model? Thanks for such a great review!
Hi, great video! Iv ordered mines this week, hope to get it soon. It was between this 1 or the 3520.50.00. So I'll see what it looks like in person. Is this watch on the heavy side , for daily wear? And is abit blingy in the sun light.
Nice one! I'm sure you'll be delighted with it. The watch is not at all heavy. It's a very comfortable, compact size for a chronograph. Definitely not blingy either - in any light. Thanks for watching 👍
How much should I pay for it? Found a white one here, and it’s the same model of yours. Do you have an idea, could you give me a suggestion how much should I pay, thanks.
The caliber is based on Omega's modified Valjoux 775x, so to answer your question, yes. This caliber can also be easily served by an independent, unofficial Omega watchmaker because it is a well known, reliable and very robust movement. Mine works perfectly with a daily deviation of about +1 sec day ...
AFAIK it's based on the Valjoux 7751 (much easier to service and has an integrated chronograph not a module), is 39 mm in diameter and has a sapphire crystal. I have a pre-moon Speedmaster and this watch is the best of the range in my opinion.
@@wristwatchdave422 got it, I don’t know reputable used watches dealers, so I am afraid of fake ones, anyway thanks for your help, I think I will buy it! :)
