You all girls are punjabi and you are talking abt punjabi culture when you doin bhangra. If it means a lot more to you than just to get famous then one thing you forgot is punjabi doesn't celebrate Christmas not bcz its not of us we love all religions but bcz we have a history which talks about how much we have been thru this same time of December. Shredding month... If you are a Sikh you never forget that..... So being in foreign countries don't forget your history. I feel so bad when Sikhs just forgetting abt their culture and history. Otherwise you girls are great and doin well. I love Bhangra.
Man! this is such a nice and unique concept (wish we had you here in toronto).. and a really good way to get to know all the teams. Please do more documentaries for other teams as well.. really enjoyed it! Amreen is hilarious! LOL For the people who are saying they should be speaking in punjabi etc. get the fuck out of here. I am going to assume that most of you were born and brought up in India and you have grown up speaking punjabi. These kids are born overseas and their first language is English. The fact that they are taking interest in bhangra and want to be connected to their culture is a big deal, so stop telling them what you want them to do or what is good according to your standards. Also not everyone that does bhangra in overseas circuits is a punjabi.. there are a lot of white people as well as asians in bhangra teams who dont understand punjabi but simply love the dance. So speaking in english is totally fine as it appeals to a wider audience. Secondly people having a go at their clothes etc. they are wearing what they feel comfortable in whilst training. So what are you supposed to dress up like gurdwara when you are doing bhangra training? Everyone wears shorts and tights when doing any sort of physical activity such as running etc where they are going to sweat. This is how we dress when we train and we have had no one tell us that its inappropriate. You guys must be straight from the pind if you have an issue with how they are dressing. Live and let live.
