There she comes, a 15 year old girl, facing a 12.000 audience with a 70 strong orchestra behind her, for the first time and having the confidence she has. She is somebody who fills the whole stage with her tiny body. She was asked if the song is about her ? Partly she said, but enough for her to understand and live the song. Look at me, here I am. The world loves you Emma as you are lovable.
Beautiful reaction, Emma. You always deliver, and we love you for it. We truly believe Emma Kok is a gift to the world straight from God. No other explanation for her story, talent and passion. Your 76 year old senior citizens from the great high desert of southeast Arizona. 🥰
A beautiful passionate performance that launched Emma like a rocket! The man at the end in the blue jacket who cups his hands and shouts to Emma is her Dad - Vico, to his right is Sophie, Emma's 2 year older sister and to Dad's left is Enzo her 21 year brother and brilliant violinist. Mum, Nathalie, is back stage to help with Emma's medical problems. Emma has to be on her feeding pumps at least 22 hours out of 24 - always. She disconnects from the pumps for performances like this.
Great reaction. What I find amazing about this performance is everybody in the audience including me were in tears except Emma, she was dry eyed and smiling!
I don't think it can be emphasized enough that Emma Kok was only 15 years old when she performed 'Voila' before an audience of 12,500 in Maastricht, July 2023. To perform like that, at that young age, is beyond phenomenal. Young Emma set a pretty high bar for herself with this performance, and if anyone thinks this was a one-off performance that she will never be able to equal, I will just ask that they look into her nascent career in a bit more depth. During the rehearsals for this performance, Maestro Rieu was so convinced he had discovered something very special in Emma, that he invited her to accompany him and the orchestra on their 2024/2025 world tour. Emma, of course accepted, and since last Feb. has been bringing the house down in cities across Europe, to Mexico, and now South America. Meantime, during breaks in the touring schedule, she has rendered a number of stunning performances, all of which can be accessed on RU-vid: a performance of 'Voila' as a duet with Helene Fischer on the Helene Fischer Show from last Christmas, a performance of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' with the European Pop Orchestra, also from last Christmas, a duet with April Darby of 'When you Believe' for the Dutch Royal Family on 5, May 2024 (Liberation Day) in Amsterdam, and a week later in The Hague, a performance of Demi Lovato's 'Father'. Most recently she was back on the same stage in Maastricht with Maestro Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra during his Summer Concert Series performing a beautiful song 'Dancing on the Stars' in June of this year. Emma has also caught the attention of Disney, and just a month ago performed a medley of classic Disney songs at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam in a show billed as Disney in Concert. Needless to say, Emma's star is rising rapidly. I am new to your channel, and I'm very sorry to hear about your unhappy experience with your previous channel. After watching your reaction here to Emma Kok, I have no doubt you will be successful in growing this new channel far beyond the success of your old one. Your informed analysis of Emma's performance here was much appreciated and enjoyed. I do hope you will react to more of Emma Kok's performances. By the way, Emma is 16 now, and has only gotten better as a vocalist and performer. Again, all the performances I have listed here are easily found on RU-vid. Best of luck to your new channel. Take care and thank you.
@@exeter1588 I’m curious about something and maybe you know. Amira Willghagen also Dutch wound up leaving the Netherlands to South Africa due to the very restrictive child labor laws. Emma doesn’t seem to have that problem?
Emma Kok is a natural and (of course trained) singer that does not give up when life hits with hammer... Great song to start again after your account was hacked! To all newcomers - she's pro as a singer and great reactor (100% bias as old follover, LOL). Sub and like does not take more than a two clicks,
This song literally describes the life she has lived, the harassment over her statue and having to tow around feeding bags in school, the struggle that comes with here disease every single day. I honestly could feel how this song connected so much with her and I am happy she has something she can do as well as a great support system, this song made her famous and I commend Andre Riuu for giving her a stage and chance to go on your with him. Gastroparesis patients have a very high rate of suicide, it's a job you have 365 days a year and never get a break from, many patients can't do anything career wise because it gets in the way, I am just glad she is well supported and strong ❤️
Dear Emma, it's great that you're back. I was shocked when your channels were hacked! Luckily you're continuing and enchanting us - thank you very much
First time I'm on your channel. I listened to this performance many times and it gets me always. But I'm also impressed by you, seeing in your eyes a lovely heart, and your open personality.
Emma brings it all to put into what she is doing. Thanks you Emma for coming back I thought I lost my favorite Emma...sorry you got hacked, we are so vulnerable got to take precautions all the time. LOL (lotsa love)
Jim here✌️🙂 Thanks Emma That young lady has a lot of talent. It will be so interesting to hear her singing voice gain even more power in another 5 years when her voice has fully matured. Wow! Amazing!
Emma returned one year later to the same city and setting where she performed her new song, "Dancing on the stars". That will give you an impression on how she already is developing whiteout loosing her typical sincerity and vulnerability ❤❤
A nice build up/intro into explaining the problems that curtailed Emma's previous Channels, but like Emma says it is time to move on, put the past behind and build again, though I think it is very disappointing that the issue couldn't get resolved; Anyway back to this Video, it was great to hear Emma's passionate belief that Music can be a force/unifying concept in a troubled world, I heartily concur with her. As too the song itself, it was simply fascinating to listen to one Fabulous/outstanding Singer critique another Great Singer with such an obviously shared passionate outlook; Explaining and pointing out the use of tone;depth and soul/heart being injected into the song as it built towards the climax; A powerful and emotional rendition, truly wonderful, thanks for sharing with us Emma. 👍✌👏.
Hello Emma, "Voila" with Emma and the first singer Barbara Pravi. Title: emma kok - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rOKVK4o-vf4.html They are shorter but special. She sang this before, but in July it became a reality. I've been attached to her ever since. I've never been a fan of anyone, but Emma changed that. I soak up everything she does. It's crazy. I can always hear them.
You don't have such a bad voice yourself! Everything that comes out of her mouth is from the heart, and I think that her audience feeds off of that. She also expresses herself through her movements of her body when she sings.
Resubscribed to your current channel. :) There are singers who don't sing with emotional attachment, but beside them most of them feel what they sing. For me the question if I feel it with them. Sometimes the magic isn't there, the eyes closed or desperately tries to convey the feeling but it just don't get through, the audiance don't get drawn in. And few singers have the talent to instantly make us connect. Emma has this power. From the first note she grabs our attention, our heart beat with hers, she makes the magic happen. And due to her singing skill we are enchanted, dynamics, gorgeous notes, power and delicacy, all there. I truly believe even on Eurovision she would have reached better result. Not because of her condition. But because how she can convey the emotions, feels true, real. Talent and dedication to train her voice despite her body failing her. And she has the Lara Fabian factor in her. I see great future for her. P.S. Make sure to have hard backup from now on. And increase the quality bitrate of the video, it was grainy. Wish you all the best, chessr from Hungary!
Thanks for sharing with us. What a special person knowing what she is going through. Hearing your comments is also special. Hearing her sing is at least a 3 hanky.
I'm glad that you are back with this channel! 🙏 Hope that you want to do a reaction with the song that Emma did this year in Maastricht, you will love it
Hello Emma, I was surprised that you don't see her anymore. A lot has happened to Emma Kok since last year. Emma has improved her entire vocal range here. There are the following recordings: Hallelujah from December - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9qVHQuPQud0.html You raise me up - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NIXB7TbeMvw.html Father - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zXWBj7-edWU.html Hero - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rohP0V3ECRY.html Dancing on the Stars - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ll1uR_HUOP8.html Disney in Concert from two weeks - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rhALa-baZGA.html A duet with April Darby - When you believe - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YG8WV1GFt_c.html Emma Kok has RU-vid channels: www.youtube.com/@EmmaKokOfficial www.youtube.com/@EmmaKokSpotlight There are a lot of things in here from 2020 and they will surprise you: @EmmaKokOfficial, @EnzoKok, Sophie Kok - Mag ik dan bij jou - Claudia de Breij | Hart Voor Artiesten - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zteF--j2rcw.html @EmmaKokOfficial singing Opportunity - Sia | Hart Voor Artiesten Concert - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oMyqCs6zZP4.html Importantly, Sydnie Christmas still appeared on BGT 2024. I'm looking at your path there. She's a huge voice. I'm glad you're here again. A lot are blocked by the music companies because of copy rights, but hacked. Is evil. I look forward to your further reactions.
I could use subtitles for the first three episodes, but from this one onwards, they were unavailable and I couldn't understand what Emma was saying 😵💫
You are sooooo beautiful! I am so sad that you have to go through this... I know the movie channel is doing better numbers wise, but this is where I always watched. I am a musician as well. I have tons of music I have done on here
But it is sad that not the complete original video is shown, but the most important information is cut away at the beginning. Unfortunately, that gets a thumbs down.
1 - Emma Kok performed together with April Darby the song *_”When You Believe”_* in Amsterdam on Sunday May 5th 2024 during the Liberation Concert on the Amstel (a river that flows into Amsterdam from the south). The National Liberation Celebration was in the presence of the king, the queen and the prime minister. The ladies are accompanied by the “Royal Military Band 'Johan Willem Friso”.
