I wanted to follow up on an old comment from another video - can't find it. But, I found out that the Victorian curved brooch (looked like a bar pin but had a curve in the middle) that we thought would work well with a scarf, was meant for posies! Women, or men, would use the curve to hold a small nosegay onto their clothing, at the neck, decolotage, sleeve, or even on the skirt. Just wanted to share that little bit of interesting info with you!

Fire Opal for sure at 10.46. Truly magnificent, maybe the 'diamonds', are topaz, sapphire, they don't seem sparkly enough for CZ's. Great pieces.

What a beautiful collection. Those Nicky Butler crosses were gorgeous, esp that last one. My favorite is the colorful stone bracelet. I am curious, though, about that bracelet. Do you think it spells out anything? I.e. do the first letters of the precious stones they’re supposed to represent spell out something significant, like in those old Victorian bracelets that spelled out “dearest,” for example? I ask because the arrangement of the colors seems specific, as only the yellow and red are repeated, and the other colors appear to be singles - at least on my screen they appear that way. Just a thought😊
