It's getting close to impossible to make $$ at the large chain thrift stores. I used to be able, now it's so picked over by the time it hits the floor! I've had great luck at yard sales and smaller thrift stores, sometimes I have to do some driving, but it can be worth it. Of course, there are PLENTY of times I go to them and find nothing good. Sometimes I even go to the same thrift store twice a day... And still come up empty handed. That's why I really like antique auctions. There's usually great old jewelry, but the trade-off is the prices are much higher than thrifts. Well, happy hunting and thanks for watching!

The first thing I can tell you is that Piddly Links sells pretty well for me on eBay. Their stuff has a decidedly old fashioned look and feel. They are no longer in business, but their jewelry is more modern day and not vintage. The company started out making everything by hand in their home, using antique stamping molds, which is really interesting. Their jewelry looks old, because often they used the old molds. Yes it is. If you're referring to the ring, that is not vermeil. The silver part is 925, and the gold part is gold filled -- but the gold is not on top of the silver. The ring was made with these two different components, then they put them together. Hope that makes sense.
