You have a real gift for describing scents and while I’ve always loved your makeup, you’ve taken it to another level in the last few months! You always look radiant.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for posting the name of the perfume you’re talking about on the screen! 🙌🏻 I wish more people would do that. It helps my little ADHD brain so much lol
Atomizers definitely make a difference. I used to think I was crazy when I would like rollers less lol. Also you are beautiful! Your features are like ethereal.
As a note about Skylar. The reason they do the roller balls for the smaller ones is to maintain the claim that their packaging is easily recyclable. Sprayer packaging would be (harder if not impossible due to the metal springs in most perfume sprayers) to recycle. Unless there is mass demand affecting profits or a change to the brand mission statement i can't see them switching. I'm very sensitive borderline allergic to major components of perfumes and Skylar is one of the few brands I've been having luck with. I've been so tempted by the scent club.
I’ve seen another reviewer, Olivia Olfactory, talk about how she used roller ball fragrances a lot…until she noticed that after awhile she found particles of stuff floating around in the perfume. Basically, whatever is on your skin (lotions, sweat, lint, even skin particles) will get on the ball, roll into the perfume & stay in the the perfume…no way to get it out.🤢 Cross contamination is why I never use rollerballs. They aren’t sanitary & the contamination is a real problem. At least, NEVER let another person use your roller ball fragrances & make sure your skin is clean, dry & there’s nothing on it when using a roller ball.
Yeeesss...fireside flurries - idk if it's going to be one of their permanents - but I will FOREVER buy ALL of the fireside flurries. ALL of em. Forever. 😂
Bake is 💣. This might be weird but I’ve been getting so many compliments when I layer the Sol De Janeiro 40 (lotion & spray) with Bake. Next I want to try it with Kayali Pistachio. Bianco Latte is also heavenly 🥰
I would be so interested in a beginner’s video of just how to get into scents without blind buying everything. And if you do who has a good return policy. Where should be go for scent subscriptions. I know you recommended one place.. any others? I’m newer to your channel so maybe you have something like this but I feel like you mention places and I don’t even know what they are. I just need a “start here” vibe.
I would love to see you review some DUA fragrances. I am soo impressed! Their "inspired by" (dupe) versions that I've gotten are better than the originals. And they do bi-clones & tri-clones too where they combine different fragrances into 1, maybe being heavier on some notes from this one & lighter on others. Super interesting.. they also have Originals. And sales every weekend. I have literally gotten myself so addicted that I've ordered 6 times within a month span! I have about 15 bottles or so now. And love most of them. And I've also been getting a ton of decants and samples of hyped up niche & high-end fragrances --- and I have to be honest I am underwhelmed in comparison to the DUAs. 🙈 I know smh
nouvelle vague really shines on the skin. if you dont like it as much, you dont like it. but its incredible once worn. i couldn't stop smelling myself with this on. i liked it in the bottle. i love it on my skin. i got the full size and the oil. its just unreal and so much more complex and gorgeous on skin. it gets better the longer its on.
I have been super tempted by that Crumb couture one. Probably going to get it soon. I found Elis Brooklyn's mini ball roller set (fully booked was the name) at a Marshalls for $20.
Loved this video and I have to say you look so radiant and summery! I recently picked up Bianco Latte and I'm genuinely obsessed, and finally received my Crumb Couture and it's also amazing. I'm visiting Cali in July and my first stop will be Scent Bar 😂. I'm looking forward to testing Bake and many other frags in person! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, as always.
I ordered crumb couture after the last time you mentioned it and I absolutely love it SO much. I'm eyeing Tihota next, can't ever have enough gourmands lol
Re: VACATION - I recently found out they have candles on their website and would love your review of those if you're so inclined! Always love hearing your thoughts, thanks so much for sharing Lauren 🩷
I’d love a is it FBW video!!! I got a full bottle of the Boardwalk one and today I got Bon Bon pop and Dates Delight and Silky Woods and Acua e Zucchero (but I’m sure I spelled that wrong!)🤣
I LOVE theSkylar Tropical Harvest, it's become basically my go-to this summer. My other top faves from them are Capri Summer and Salt Air so it fits right in with that vibe and I seriously hope they turn it into another member of the full-sized club!!
I blind bought Bianco Latte and Crumb Couture. I absolutely LOVE Bianco Latte. It’s so cozy and decadent. I like Crumb Couture it does smell nice but I almost regret buying it because it doesn’t last whatsoever
Have you tried Snif’s vow factor? I’m really liking but it’s very green!! Also, I just placed a big sample order from Sorcellerie Apothecary and would love to see you review some indie brands like hers!
with theMason Louie Marie No.13 i loved it to begin with and then the SOAP the SOAP!!!! it becomes overwhelming!! wonder why it now makes me SICK to my tummy and I am not a person that is sensitive to scent at ALL!
I’m a neurodivergent “80s kid”… I bought Vacation recently at Ulta because of a sale with extra points event. I “had to get it” because it was rumored to smell like poolside in a beach community with vintage tanning oil (SPF 21 was the highest available by the end of the 80s). I really glad I picked it up. I wore it with a vintage Hawaiian shirt yesterday and it was such a happy vibe!
Hi Lauren, always a joy to watch your videos 😊Did you try the house of Cra-Yon Vanilla ceo & Caramel Days i highly recommend 😉 Looking forward to see the next video 🥰
I've picked up a bottle of Shiseido Rising Sun for very cheap, just something easy to wear every day in summer. Then I got a sample of MCM Ultra, a nice daily scent too and soooo long lasting. Was thinking about picking up a full size until I saw the bottle. Ugliest thing in the world. With so many fragrances on the market, I'll buy something else.
What do you think about the no name perfumes at Marshalls? I found one called Santal. It smells nice and woody but it's just one note. Wondering what I could pair with it?
I’ve never really thought about layering it but I think I would probably start with vanillas! If you find any combos you live I would love to know them!
Viciously jealous about the fact that Skylar fragrances (especially Boardwalk delight) work on you/smell nice to you. To me they all smell like cleaning products and Boardwalk delight smelled like banana peels.
I usually use it for my night showers as a scrub but with the body butter it has still quite a good pint of scent! Not sure if it would last all day but I do feel like it lasts a while on my skin when I use both!
