I was annoyed by the ending the first time I saw it. But its grown on me over time as it really shows Lightning entering the next stage of his life like Doc. Lightning has nothing to prove as a racer at this point, unlike Doc who still had a lot left in him. It's great they were able to use leftover lines Paul Newman recorded for the first movie before he died.
Doc achieved three-straight Piston Cup championships before his crash in 1954. If we assume the 2006 movie was the end of the 2005 season, Lightning McQueen won 7 Piston Cups (as seen in this movie) presumably in the time frame between 2006 and 2017, likely some consecutively. He was absolutely exhausted. It's the reason this ending works; he had nothing left to prove. The protege had surpassed the mentor in every single way, and Cruz will likely achieve more than McQueen did.
@@abdulrazaq6118 yeah, but McQueen won them in only 10-11 years, king raced for more than 20, if i remember correctly, plus, i think we can all agree that he won the race in the first movie, so that makes it 8 piston cups
Strip "the king" Weathers (that blue car from the first movie) and Lightning McQueen are the ones with most championships with both tied in 7. Strip won in 1971, 1975, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1998, and 2001 and Lightning in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015
@@kari8609 . Basically when chicks won it was the 2005/2006 season.. Meaning he was the 2005 title The 2005 Piston Cup Season was the 62nd season of the Piston Cup Racing Series
So fun fact, the moon shine reference is a reference to the beginnings of NASCAR in America. People were souping up their cars to outrun cops when alcohol became illegal back in the 1920s. So they would race through back roads and other places like that with illegal alcohol.
Cars 3 is an awesome movie and I enjoyed your reaction. It was funny when everyone was saying, " Your old", to McQueen. Thanks I enjoyed the reaction video, see ya❤😊 se
I remember seeing this movie in theaters with my dad I was so hyped for this movie when the teaser trailer came out and it did not disappoint easily one of my favorite movies I love the cars franchise 🏁
It is how rules tend to work in real life its one way then something comes along that causes it to change, I think it was the case with four wheel drive. When it first got invented it gave the cars a massive advantage (or disadvantage can't recall which) but the rules got updated to ban its use in racing.
"even though your opinion is wrong" , i was dead😂, saying that right after saying everybody is entitled to their own opinion is a crazy contradiction😂😂😂
Prime Lightning would have beat storm. Storm's max speed is 213. Lightning in his prime maxed oyt at 225 because in the second movie the italian car maxed at 220.
Day #2 I recommand to watch the film RUSH, since you entered in that cars films😊 I'm pretty sure you would enjoy that: not an animation but a film based on the true story and true events about the 70's of F1 races. I will not make any spoilers, just trust me and you will be satisfied😉👌 And guys if you agree like the comment so they can read it😁
we both are talking about the same film right? I mean that one with Niki Lauda and Hunt..I personally like that film and think they would also, so i was just suggesting that one also because it isn't an animation, but it's ok we have different opinions🙂🙂 @@Unknownproof-u6y
@@Unknownproof-u6y of course you are allowed mate! We HAVE to discuss and share opinion in comment sections. I was just surprised that you don't like that film but there is absolutely no problem, it's ok😅 I didn't mean to be rude or something..
The thing about it is i dont know how this world would work, because in Cars 2 McQueen dusted Francesco an F1 Car, he would beat an Electric car so idk man, but hey story igs 💀
Ngl the older lebron + other NBA legends got along with messi/renaldo for soccer.......the harder this movie hits ngl. Lebron, Messi and Renaldo all drafted to there respect team and sport in 2003 - present was a great era in sports people took advantage of but glad I got to see it. Cars 3 is a movie you can only appreciate after growing up witnessing those era's in sports only to realize you were watching legends making history, also RIP Doc Hudsan I always saw him as MJ and Lightning was Lebron and this movies solidified that for me but he was also lowkey the uncle iroh/master oogway of this universe
Could’ve been so much better if they went with the deleted ending. But no, give the girl the lead who’s a 4 cylinder that could somehow go 200mph by cutting her exhaust off and be a racecar just because she **really wants to.**
What I love about this movie is that it feels like it addresses the audience that watched the first one when young essentially saying eh we all grow old someday but we can always make the best out of it.
