"Including Jermaine" was never meant to be nasty. The media started a lie at that time saying that MJ and Jermaine had a rivalry bcoz both were getting individually popular, & he'd say including Jermaine to debunk that. Fans take it out of context literally ALL the time. Plus there's no statement or anything else from Jermaine expressing his disdain for Thriller...on the contrary, he's always been the one to rush to Michael's defense in the press. It gets really annoying seeing so much gossip & misinfo on MJ's relationship with his brothers when he repeatedly stated that he loved them and had lovely memories growing up with them, especially with Jermaine whom he was closest to. He did not hate the Victory Tour. As per Moonwalk his own autobiography, he said he felt powerful, it was nice performing with his brothers, he enjoyed the tour, etc..all quotes from his own book. There were dozens of rumors started abt the Jackson brothers in the 1980s to break apart a successful black family.

I agree with you! I read a lot about this in Jermaines book as well. The musical rivalry was made during Motown to help sell their solo records and then the press made it personal. I have love for Jermaine - thank you for your comment!

I never really cared for this video because these kind of hypocritical MJ fans defend him arduously crying "Media lies!!" and then turn around and spread provable lies abt his family. I mean..where are these strange quotes attributed to Jermaine even from?? They seem kinda made up to me. Latoya is not a source bcoz she spouted a lot of lies abt her whole family under the threat of her abusive husband. Lmao why would Michael and Jermaine be singing, hugging and smiling so happily at Motown 25 and why would Jermaine be literally clapping and smiling in the audience at the Grammy's if his bro was shading him?? It's all lies.

Trisha Ghosh Ummmm wrong! MJ was totally being shady to Jermaine and deservedly so. Jermaine was very jealous at that time and did all types of shady things that you all might not have gotten wind of. That period was Ruff for the brothers but MJ was very shrewd and knew how to make it come off in his innocent way. 😉

Michael wasn't taking selfies on stage.. he got the camera when he had kids and wanted to get home movies for his kids to see and stuff.. he actually said in an interview that he was actually recording the crowd, he wasn't taking a selfie

Most people who worked closely with Mike will say he really did have a deep voice, Radney Jerkins (Dark Child). Spike Lee on his Off the wall Documentary. Also Chirs Tucker Jokes on set "Rock My World, He heard a voice behind him saying, you ready let's go.he was gonna turn around to say don't rush me( because it was a deep voice.but he turned around & it was Michael. 😁 his singing coaches would suggest he sing in his natural key, so he'd have more range, but he'd refuse. This high voice was part of the youth persona.

I've seen this video. I agree that some weren't really petty, but this definitely proved he had a petty side. I was surprised he was so agitated by the guy who had the camera zoomed in too close, but things happen. However, a lot of this was lighthearted pettiness which I enjoy!

His hairstylist name was Janet Zeitoun. Zeitoun started with Janet when she was 17 and I was say Janet introduce Janet Zeitoun to rest of the family. She was phenomenal, she did both Janet and Michaels hair the video scream.

Micheal’s voice was always low. He used the high voice most people are used to hearing as his stage voice. People don’t believe me until they hear it! The intro to, “Rock My World” when he and Chris tucker are talking, that’s my favorite example. That’s mike’s REAL voice. Rip King 👑
