I’ve just saw you interview on U.K. TV before Christmas. I had no idea you lost your partner, I’ve not seen every video you’ve done. I lost my wife to acute myeloid leukaemia in August. About the same time I was up watching your videos. She was in hospital for 5 weeks, getting fixed but suffered some rare side effects to her treatment and passed away after two days in ICU. I’m so sorry to hear your story.
This is my favourite episode even, whoever edits the videos for you danny did a ace job, I felt the love you had for the chair, brilliant comedic episode. Your great Danny never change! and I bet the editor must be one of your grown up sons as he seems to have your sence of humour with the editing, R.I.P Dannys chair
Poor Danny, I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Chair, you gave your all for our entertainment and we thank you for your service. Great idea to have a charity auction for the chair Danny. OH JEEZ!! I haven't laughed so much in ages! Poor Danny trying not to get wet/dirty on the floor, worrying about his can of pop too. And the video edit of Danny keep saying "I love you" to the chair is pure quality!! You know, I don't think most people that watch you really even care what the food is like... its you, your wit and personality that is the reason we watch!! I am sure you will try your hardest to get the chair repaired, as it means so much to you... would be good if it can be repaired!!

Totally agree.. the editing is what makes the videos so good.. the sound effects, especially the facts, have me in stitches at times.. I'd like to see a "making of a Rate My Takeaway video" behind the scenes. Obviously they go in to the shop first, ask permission and brief them in what Danny will ask. The cameraman start with Danny outside the shop, then edits to cameraman inside the shop filming Danny enter etc. The staff are always at the counter ready, knowing that Danny will say "I've been told to coke down, what do you recommend?".. the shop staff never ever say "Hey its Danny from Rate My Takeaway, great to see you in our restaurant pal!!" There is obviously a lot that we don't see, but it is made to look as if he is walking in for the first time!!
I'm sorry about chair! But you honestly have me laughing right now. You need to do a memorial montage video set to peaceful music, every chair test set to Wind Beneath My Wings. 😂😆

Have just got into your videos as been suffering with COVID and had a lot of free time. Self isolating has been a lot harder than I thought even as a full grown man 😂 but your videos are just so heart-warming and have made it a lot easier. Now I'm not sure if it's still there or if they do takeaway but the best food I ever tried was a place called the copper pot in Leamington it was half pub half chippy and the chipshop platter was the best thing I've ever eaten. You broke the chair because you counted all the subs up and didn't balance them properly on the chair so it caused the equilibrium of the chair to snap under the immense weight and pressure

The video felt like many things were going wrong leading up to the chair breaking! Its like things happen in threes... the almost falling down the stairs, the heater lamp not working... the table almost collapsing, etc.. then the chair!! Gave us a great laugh though!! It had a good innings... RIP chair!! 🤣🤣🤣
