The destruction or end of the world and his Christ oriented songs, which date pretty far back into the late 80s, go hand in hand. The begining and the end, God, Revelations being the final book. It all works together. He's always been a believer just struggled with spiritual war fare like we all do. He only some years later gave himself to Christ. But in between that his music surely had a "crying out" to God, or God acknowledgement to them.

Those of us back in 2007 talking about the stuff in this song. Everyone else in 2007: "Slippery Slope!" Those of us in 2020 pointing to this song: "IS IT STILL A SLIPPERY SLOPE ARGUMENT?!" Also because just quickly scrolling through some of the comments I don't think anyone answered your question about the Latin words used in this song. Norvus Ordo Seclorum and Annuit Coeptis are the words written on Money around the Great Seal that is that picture of the Pyramid with the Eye above it. He's saying all these atrocities are being done in the name of Power as whoever can decimate the world and has the most money rules it. I'd say that Country is the winner but as the current state of the world shows you can rule the world but still everyone loses.

That's something I love about many/all of Megadeth's more politically charged songs is how even the older stuff from the late 80's early 90's like peace sells, holy wars, etc don't feel dated and if anything are just as or more relevant when applied to current times as to the time period they were written in.

Dude if you dig this you GOTTA check out 'This is how the story ends' from their follow up album, Endgame. Musically, lyrically and vocally crushes! Ever since Dave came back from his wrist injury in the early 2000's he's just been on fire, man.
