The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is the traditional opener of the Belgian cycling season. After weeks of preparation in sunny places, the peloton battles the cold in addition to the Flemish cobblestones and hills.
The main favorites for the 2023 edition were: Tom Pidcock, Tim Wellens, Matej Mohoric, Dylan Van Baarle, Christophe Laporte and Arnaud De Lie.
