my theory on why your health is drained at the end is that since the building is on fire you would be loosing health and as your health gets lower the screen gets darker and darker, implying that hes about to blackout and probably die.
The devs explained that Tabi has health too, since he is the former Bf. So during his turn, he drains Bf’s health. It used to drain when he hit a note, but it was nerfed to be 2% per sec.

The reason why in the final song is draining your health cause Tabi is the original boyfriend but girlfriend used tabi then tabi turned into a floating skull with a hollow body since he is the original boyfriend he has the same power boyfriend had
