A Home For Flowers (Sunflower) plays towards the end of OMORI when strolling down memory lane. This calm, relaxing, and somber sounding theme plays specifically during the memory of Basil's birthday party when Hero, Kel, Sunny, Aubrey and Mari are all standing around Basil wishing him a happy birthday. A Home For Flowers (Sunflower) is apart of a four set track, consisting of A Home For Flowers Sunflower, Daisy, Empty, and Tulip, all of which act as variant themes for Basil. A Home For Flowers (Sunflower) paired with light rain ambience and rain sounds makes for one of the OMORI OST's most reflective and melancholic sounding tracks.

I hate disappointing people too, that line is like a punch to the gut... I sometimes end up not acting at all, in fear of dissapointing my friends. Because... I myself don't usually care much that I failed at something. But I don't want them to become downhearted because of my failures. I don't want others to see me as a failure.

The fact that you're comfortable enough to argue with a friend means that there's a bond there Most of us hide away and try to please everyone so we can aim never allow an argument but sharing what you really think with someone is a sign that they are a real friend, even if they can't accept your point of view as their own. If we all saw things the same way, we'd never need to be around anyone at all

@@otakamerd1220 that’s so true. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt that comfortable with someone. I’ve never been a big sharer, but I don’t think I really have good emotional connections sometimes. Even with my own family I have trouble expressing myself.

The calm before the storm. The memory lane scene is super wholesome and cute... Until you remember what happened. Mari was really the thing holding everything together. Now, the only thing holding the friends together is the absence of the truth. When sunny tells them, the bit of tape holding it together will sever indefinitely.

I like this picture and some of these stuff it implies, I like to think after that sunny tells the truth and bothers he and basil recovers, sunny visit him again in a rainy day. Basil might have got mental help, but the friendship of old gang is gone becuase I don’t hero and aubery would take the news well(as a kel). Basil tries to be sunny comfortable but eventually breaks down quietly again and said “god damn , I can’t do anything right even if I do the right thing. Are you here just tell you done with me”.While sunny quietly support and helps calms basil down.

This song is so sad yet so comforting. It reminds me that things can never go back to how it used to be, but it can at least get a bit better with time. I think that’s how it would be after the good ending, never the same, but better.

Omoris story and especially the way its presented and phased beats almost all big titles in videogames imho. Your supposed to believe everythings fine, then your reminded something is wrong, repeat that with some hints added every time by music. dialogue or the amazing cut scenes. And at the end theres the big final with the best endings to a story ever: "I have to tell you something" I personally can indentify with basil in a lot of ways, so ofc this song means a lot to me

I am not the sort of person who can listen to songs on loop for very long. I usually either get bored or a headache after just a few minutes. But with this song...for some reason that doesn't happen. Looking back at my previous relationship. She hurt me in so many ways. Yet I was too blind to see it at the time. I gave her everything I could. All my love, effort and I really put in every I had in me. She cheated on me. She had told me she got bored of me and decided to hook up with my one close friend instead 6 months later, I'm in a happy relationship with someone who had already despised the one I previously dated. Although we are very different as people, she treats me like I actually matter. And she's made me realise what I am worth. We learn from eachother and life is good. I now lay in bed and stare through my window. Finally happy. Glad that my ex did what she did. Otherwise I wouldn't have landed up with such an angel. Sometimes life can hurt you, and it's okay to feel that. Just never give up you know? You may never know when things might turn around for the better

The relationship died. In Jan, she just got up and left, she said she didn't see a future with me, so she parted ways with me too. She said that I was a good guy with a big heart, but she couldn't see herself staying. Another year, down the drain. I just want to know what I'm doing wrong. Am I the problem maybe? I don't even know anymore. Im getting so tired of this.

They both just got out of the hospital Basil and sunny weren't interacting at all Kel tries to break the silence by asking them on how the feel, etc. Aubrey tells him to shut up They got into a fight Basil tries to calm Aubrey down Hero calms kel down Sunny giggles a little They were all surprised They all laughed Next day The gang goes about their day, Aubrey skipping school with her friends, Kel playing basketball, Hero packing up and about to go back to college, Basil walks with sunny. After a while, And then he breaks down. Crying about how everything is his fault Sunny comforts him, Reassuring him it's not. "And even if it is our fault, surely she'll forgive us." Said sunny The first words sunny said after the confession, "Heh, you're right." Said basil.

The image's quite nice. Sunny probably forgave Basil for everything related to what he did to his eye, be it karma for the years or just that day. Basil, hasn't gotten over it, and probably won't for a pretty long time. Sad.

For some reason, I always figured Basil would end up in a pyche ward after the credits rolled. All the guilt doesn't magically go away now that the friends know the truth. His Something didn't disappear entirely. Plus, he just lost his grandma and suffered a mental breakdown only the night before. Basil is not well. Better now that he truth is out, but still in a rough spot mentally. The game implies that he doesn't seem to like polly that much - likely stemming from issues with his parents never being in his life. Having her show up instead basically means in his mind they do not care about him. It's hard to say if he'll ever come clean about mari and do the time now that sunny is gone anyway despite his efforts that day. What sunny did was an accident. What Basil did was not. Sunny has some screwed up thoughts, but I feel basil's would be so much worse. Aubrey calling him a freak might not have been far off because, again, what normal kid willingly hangs their best friend's sister, whom he also supposedly cared about?

@@ShadowSkyX I figured that he would be quite unstable, but his "mind" would be a bit clearer thanks to the release. Note, only a bit. He's still sitting in the hospital, and he'll probably be questioned soon after that too, to figure out where to put him. Sunny would likely vouch for him, so it's not all odds against him... But if he returns home, well, we can't exactly say what demeanor the group would hold. Aubrey assumed the "freak" aspect from the part where he betrayed Mari, apparently covering all images of her with a marker. Hanging her is a further betrayal.

This song is really bittersweet for me. It reminds me that no matter what I do, I’ll never be with him. I should really just be happy that he found someone he likes, I’m glad that he loves someone that loves him back. But at the end of the day, what about me?

I love this so much. Omori is how I bonded with my now boyfriend, it started our whole relationship. Hearing these songs with the context, along with the nostalgia from my own memories with him just amplifies the feelings Omori's OST inflicts on me

Me and him have separated now, and I found myself not being able to even think of Omori at all. But now a few days after our breakup, I've come back to what started our relationship, this game. I don't feel anxiety anymore, I miss him but it is how life works. I am able to play this artwork of a game again, and I am happy that I can. I miss him more than anything, but I'm happy that we were together in the first place. I love you Aspen, forever

Me an my friend talked about some stuff on our way home from school. About how our brains are being stuffed with so much more than we can handle. Yet our parents expect us to be able to handle it, because they can’t. There is so much stuff happening in this world right now, and our parents can’t seem to realize how overwhelming and terrifying it is. Reminds me of Omori a lot, they have to handle so much, and it’s overwhelming. It seems like barely any of them had a person there to comfort them.

Sunflower is so heavily implied. You don’t associate your friend with a flower that means “young innocent love” and proceed to call him perfect and humble if you don’t want to date them or at least be more than friends💀

And the way everything in headspace is almost molded to basils likes: basil likes strawberries, strawberry smoothie gives the most health , basils birthday cake was strawberry, you have to make a strawberry cake, basil likes tofu there’s a whole village that adores tofu
