Another great video from Sir Joe of OMSI. Thank you for all your efforts in producing these videos :) They always provide a great source of entertainment and a welcome break from the crap that was 2020. I will take this opportunity to wish you a very happy 2021 and I hope it continues to be a successful one for you, both on here and off here and I hope you continue to stay safe too
More good fun Joe, thanks and well done. Interestingly, or not, I had just run the 3 myself using the same bus but left Oxford Circus at about 15.00 and got to Crystal Palace 16 minutes late! Mind you, every set of traffic lights was red and everybody and his brother was waiting for the bus.
I’m glad you enjoyed it Paul! Yeah it tends to go that way doesn’t it, some days you can run perfectly to time at a leisurely pace, other days you can drive the exact same route at the exact same time and just be chasing your tail the whole time hha
The wooing noise of the gearbox is not related to double/single deckers rather than gearbox generations. I took an artistic liberty to include it for your enjoyment. Realistic newer wooingless sound is also there with the newer ecolife variant.
Hello everybody, it's the Joe Variety Hour where we drive around London and are regaled with many fascinating tales that Joe has fact checked on the internet, and as he read it on the internet, they must be true. In this episode - cyclists, don't we just love to hate them? OMSI - is it dead or are we still going to be playing this piece of crap for another decade? This and many other outlandish musings, tune in and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. On a serious note - that ZF jerk has been around for ages - I've seen it in the very first O405N for the original OMSI and then it was replicated in Hamburg O405N's. I have to wonder if it's not an issue of some developers being lazy and "borrowing" an ancient script rather than doing it themselves.
It's a real shame if they have just copied the scripting, I really am yet to see a ZF gearbox in OMSI which blows me away. I'm hoping the ZF that we see on Studio Polygons Renown, and Masterswitch Studios Veiling Pack are an improvement!
Just to remind you. Not all ZF gearboxes have a whine and voith buses when they slow down the whistle that you hear is called a retarder. Edit: Nice video btw.
@@JoeDobsongaming I have noticed many of the route allocations are incorrect on the omsi route documentation for example, route 45 is operated by abellio london with e400h mmc's and route 68 is operated by abellio london, with nrm's.
@@leokronenberg8645 London is based in 2018. At the time, the 45/68 were ran by Go-Ahead London and the 3 did see many workings of E400s along the route alongside the NRMs. The allocation in documentation is there to show users which buses can be used on a route :P
Can’t argue with the man himself eyyy? That will certainly explain things haha. Send us a message if you can @Rhys McCollin, I fancy a chinwag at your leisure of course!
