Not having the Particle Systems Active will not break the game as you suggested. Particles are to do with the smoke/exhaust fumes you see coming out from the buses.
Thank you. The 4gb patch mainly makes the game playable for a longer session, as it delays the withe textures, white or black buses and missing tiles that may appear after Omsi 2 runs out of memory. It is particularly useful on heavy maps, which use up a lot of RAM. So overall the 4gb patch is a must.
I didn’t need to do any of that, I just needed to check the load whole map button bc I only had lag when loading new parts of the map still helps if I want to play it on a lower end pc though
Hi yeah that reduces stuttering, but increases loading times and for people on lower spec pcs will not really help with performance. Nonetheless, thanks for the info.
Hey TE, just thought I would comment and leave a suggestion. Do you think you could do a tutorial on how to move sounds from one bus to another? like for example I'm looking to put the MB Workshop ZF tridents sounds from the London spec to the regional spec ALX400 Dennis Trident. Regards DBF
Hi, certainly such a tutorial needs to be made, however I myself have not actually done it before and thus wouldn't be familiar with how it is done. That being said, I can certainly look into it and if I figure out how to do it, perhaps make a video on it.
Greetings. As a not tech savvy at all bus nerd, this game has only disappointed me. I have most settings far left (no sound / map lights}...several clearing caches, several verifying...this game still freezes upon start. I've made attempts to install mods...ni videos have helped me get any clarity as to what I am doing wrong (map / mod never launched. Will there be a step by every little step tutorial walkthrough for dummies for North American Buses / Maps ? l Really wish l could enjoy this game.
I have the following specs: i7-4790, GTX 970, 8GB. I have no problems with FPS, run up to 120 FPS, but the game freezes all the time even with all configs set on low. On Shift + Y always appears "Refreshing Terrain" before lagging. I installed the 8GB Patch but it didn't seem that solved nothing. Can you help me please?
What map is it? Unfortunately that is due to poor optimisation of game and some maps and it is something we all encounter. Have you got your tile count set to 1?
Thank you for your help! One question, I have a lot of lag on one certain part of the line 24 from Luzern add on, in the direction Luzern Hauptbahnhof-Meggen... From Balm station and on, the bus starts to jump and my fps suddenly drops to, like, 2 per second, then I have to exit Omsi, crash.... Up until that point, I have regular 20-30 FPS... No lags... I optimized the setting the way you said, but no help...any thoughts what can cause it? Its a shame, its a really great add on
@@TransportEnthusiast Literally after I posted the comment, I went back to the game, tried again, but during daytime ingame and everything was fine.... I tried to play with the max distance of object visibility, and the longer the distance, the lower the FPS. I keep it around 800 and even with cars at 700 and 100%, people at 650, it runs normally.
hi im not sure why but everytime when i press the “station brakes & door release on/off” it will will appear benchmark 2 and fps below it on top left corner of my screen and the bus will start to jump.. any solution from you and how can i private message you about omsi2?

The advanced options have dissappeared (v2.0.0) does anyone know how to turn off Autosave, when ever I come to a stop the game freezes for up to 30 seconds.
Hi there, I have recently ran into issues where my game would freeze after clicking on one of the icons in the bottom right corner. (Load New bus, Load New Timetable). This causes my game to crash and in worse cases, makes my gaming laptop crash. My specs are, Ryzen 7 1700, RX580 4GB VRAM, 16GB Ram. Is there any way that this could be fixed? It is a shame since I do enjoy this game on previous older laptops and would like to play it on my current laptop. Many Thanks :)
This usually occurs if you click something before game is fully loaded or while it is frozen i.e loading. Best bet is to not click anything if you get a blue rotating loading arrow on your mouse until it disappears and if the sound is on loop again nothing should be touched, basically golden rule is if game is frozen don't press anything.
Yeah pretty sure I heard that card was having those isses, which is odd. Might be worth doing a clean install of drivers, tends to help with AMD cards.
Nice Video but did not work at me. Ryzen 9 5900X OC 5,2GHZ, RTX3080 TI, 32Gb Ram 3400Mhz, X570 Board, NVMe SSD, and i have 20 FPS at the Map Rheinhausen, 40 FPS in Grunddorf but it drops down to 2 FPS. Other Games work in 2k, ultra Settings and 165 FPS. 4GB Patch is activated...
Unfortunately omsi 2 can be like that. Might be worth adjusting ai, as ai can cause dps drop and performance issues on some maps, where it uses poorly optimised buses
I'm having a problem with the Cayuga route 0.8. I install all the objects in the directly correctly. But when I load the route nothing loads. However I have the Chicago route that loads fine. When I had my high end gaming laptop months ago it worked fine.

I m confusing what means of omsi warning words that told me it's lower fps and suggest me to reduce fps ... because other players told me framerate should be above 100 and I did it , the bus haven't jumped again but this warning showed me again and again ?
Don't know who you omsi 2 should be above 100 fps but that is completely false. Omsi 2 generally maxes at around 30 fps. Warning shows up when fps is below 12.

Depends on the bus. The new booklets in the cab pouch tell you I think. Hold E for 5 seconds then hold M then 2 and go into gear d and finally handbrake with .
You have to keep lowering settings until you find the sweet spot. However, on some lower spec pcs that are below min requirements it is inevitable to get some jumping buses.

Hallo there @TransportEnthusiast i have too one milion (why not bilion) quastion how set up computer with thats specifications like this: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz RAM 24 GB, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB on Projekt Szczecin (beacause I leave there). I make reinstall and again have problem with damn fps in this game. I'ts damn OMSI 2 (tragic optimalized). ps Yes I used 4 GB patch.

52 yo not tech savvy bus nerd....is there any way you can do a step by every little step walkthrough to add New Flyer Xcelsior bus...all of the files, zip etc is foreign to me and I do not understand

hello i have a big problem with the game and idk how to fix it: i'm playing my x10 map and i can't see the textures of the apartments, just old spandau map blocks. If you have discord i can send you screenshot. I tried to verify the files, to uninstall some buses but it doesen't work
