btw: the "A" at the traffic lights stands for "Anforderung" (request). It means that the intelligent traffic light recognised the ir transmitter of the bus and it will try to allow the bus to get a green light asap. "T" stands for "Türen" (doors) which tells the driver to close the doors because the lights will change to green in a second.

Squirrel , the huge box on the top of the bus isn´t by far an aircon unit , its a "box" with LPG bottles :) this bus is running on gas

hi squirrel I believe the pod on the roof is a CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tank and not an aircon pod.

Wow I actually take this bus home. Kagraner platz is also a subway stop. People usually buy tickets at the subway station and you can use that ticket to travel anywhere inside Vienna, using whatever you want (bus,tram,subway) for an hour. You CAN buy a ticket from the driver but people rarely do.

FYI: It's not a free bus system, 10:21 that's the gas tank (from what I can recall), 19:47 you're supposed to press the "Fertig" button when that beeping occurs, it indicates you that you need to depart and 28:39 you were just wasting your time because nobody wanted to get off, was there anyone, the stop request light would have been on and they would've gotten off...

After You saw that guy in red dancing, the bus recording said the name Markomannenstrasse and then "Please let the old persons, those with disabilities and those with children to Use the seats"

Afaik you have to buy your ticket at the busstop and then you stemp it in the little blue boxes on the bus. there are officers which are frequently patrolling the busses and checking that you have a valid and stemped ticked. Abfahrt means Departure.

Its fun when you stand up.

The blue bit at the top is the where the gas cylinders are stored - it's a gas bus. We have 40 gas buses in my city :)

OMSI pro here, gotta give you a few tips. 1. You don't need to "Set Line and Terminus" via the menu, it is only there for people who don't have the IBIS system figured out yet. On the standard buses, let's say the standard spandau map. You type in "Linie/Kurs" 09200, you then only need to type in the "Route" number which is 01 and 02 for the spandau line 92. The IBIS will then know what route you're on, display it right in the matrix and set up the announcements. The "Ziel" is only for routes which aren't scheduled - for example, depot-drive, schoolbus, driving school etc. Ergo, Ziel isn't needed on normal, scheduled drives. 2. The bus always spawns with the outer-temperature on the inside. Means, if you spawn the bus in standard 15 degrees, but then rise the weather to 30 degrees, your bus will stay in 15 degrees and only rise up the temperature slowly. However, if you change the outer temperature to 30 degrees, spawn a bus and then set up snowy weather, the bus will still be 30 degrees and the passengers will mock. So, take care of that. Also, when you skip forward the time, the temperature won't rise, not even with heating on full. If you want to heat up your bus, you have to wait for it real-time. But fairly enough, fuel won't lower when you let the engine run and skip forward the time. 3. The signals for busses: Horizontal line (or X) = Stop; Small circle = Amber; Vertical line = Free for all possible directions; Diagonal line = free for the direction the line is showing; A = Priority request - for signals with sensors. There might be some others, less important ones, I don't remember. Oh yeah, in austria it's very normal to enter and exit a bus through all doors. Greetings from Graz.

for your info : there are no free buses in vienna :P they either have a ticket mashine or just the stamping mashines, people need to buy tickets beforehand and just stamp them in the bus , or they ride illegaly :)

I doubt that bus service in Vienna is free. It's more probable that passengers are supposed to get their ticket from a machine at the station. It would take far too much time if the bus driver has to sell tickets too.

You dont need to set the line on that window. On majority of buses (except the older default MAN) when you use the bus system (where you punch line and route) it automaticaly set the destination

The destination displays on this do not work. The information in the manual is utter rubbish and says set line to 424 then FR and KS to 1 or 2 only to switch back, despite there being multiple possible destinations for the 24. The destination list says a TEK number which does not work as a Ziel and a vielsigsnumber which is too long to enter. The codes under FR work for outbound for some services due to having the destination for NenuBling but the return display is to Schenterstars-verkierh which is not a valid destination as passengers will not board.
