I have adored this song for ages! Recently, my friend Tom gave me his old digital piano and I began playing again.... sooooo much nicer than my last keyboard and I haven’t had a real piano since moving in with Carlo. No room! But playing is a balm against the very hard year I - and so many of us- have had.
I am originally from Sauk Rapids, MN, across the Mississippi from Saint Cloud. Of course this song is not about that part of Minnesota. It’s about seeing an old lover (or in my case someone else that I lost) everywhere you go. But it does have special significance for me, each place In the song seems right outta my life story.
