Come with me as I go on a very personal journey to find my hero grandfather. He was a firefighter with the Charleston West Virginia fire department. He was killed in 1949 while fighting a very large fire at the Woolworth department store in downtown. Come with me as I travel to find out more of his story. I finally locate and visit his grave site. I wanted to share this story with the world. I’m very very proud of him.

At the beginning of your video I hear a Cardinal nearby ♥️ Beautiful memorial! So many fallen firefighters and your grandfather was so young. I’m so glad you were able to find his final resting place. Your grandfather was a true hero. Thank you for taking us along. God Bless you all ♥️🕊️♥️

Beautiful state. Been through Charleston several times. Nice city. Some great monuments. Nice that your grandfather Frank is remembered on a monument. Tragic way he passed away. I remember having a Woolworth on the downtown square in my hometown. Friend of mine works at Mardi Gras racetrack near there. Stonewall Jackson was from what is now WV.
