More than 60 stellar examples of inspiration and innovation including research, professional practice projects, publications, and other creative works are on full display in a new exhibition of Taubman Faculty work from the past two years.
Taubman College faculty are internationally recognized educators, researchers, and practitioners who embrace experimentation and innovation as a vehicle for engagement and change. With an experimental mindset, they seek alternatives and are driven by a desire to imagine and reimagine the future of the built environment as they explore how different disciplines, styles, and philosophies can inspire and improve our world and society.
The exhibition will include drawings, images, physical objects, prototypes, videos, projections, immersive experiences, books, and publications. The exhibition is planned and curated by Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Creative Practice, Kathy Velikov. It will also debut a playful new event infrastructure of large inflatables and stands designed by Taubman Architecture Fellows Adam Miller and Leah Wulfman, in coordination with Velikov and a team of Taubman architecture students. The new infrastructure is conceived as a deconstructed bounce-house that can be played with and rearranged to serve future events, symposia, and exhibitions at Taubman College.
